| The main lobby and the restaurants that are part of the hotel are all very nice. The service for all of them is slow and they are not motivated as the 15% gratuity is included in every bill. The room was modest and bathroom small. The sink did not drain well. Our "view" consisted mostly of looking at a black rooftop below us. The staff was not real friendly. I was shocked that they charged us $24 dollars to play tennis one afternoon. Most resorts do not charge to use their tennis courts.

| Beautiful location with expansive grounds. Rooms were very clean and large enoguh for a family of four. Staff were excellent and the beach and facilities were better than expected. Choice of restuarants was also very welcome. Local bus service that runs every 15 minutes was easily accesible as is the hotel service by boat to Hamilton which although irregular is complimentary. If you don't like the location you are tired of life!!!

| Wonderful hotel with extrodinary food. Cleanliness is suspsect as we found rooms were not cleaned properly and there some unsightly stains and smells in the public areas. You are also a captive audience for food as well since there are not many options without going into town. Unless beach access is a must, the Fairmont Hamilton is probably a better choice for most.

| My husband and I recently spent our anniversary at the Fairmont Southampton. Before making our plans we asked all our good friends which Carribean island they would recommend. The majority spoke highest of Bermuda. Staying at the Fairmont Southampton was definitely the right choice too. This decision was based mainly on the Expedia reviews. When booking the hotel and flight I mentioned that my husband and I were celebrating our 30th anniversary. After spending the afternoon at their pristine private beach we returned to our room and found a chilled bottle of champagne and plate of gourmet chocolates courtesy of the hotel manager. We ate dinner each night at one of the many hotel restaurants and each meal was beautifully presented, and delicious. The service was superior. The food in general is a bit pricey in Bermuda though and we were pre-warned. Overall it was a wonderful trip and a perfect location to celebrate our anniversary.

| This hotel is beautiful, neat & clean and staff were very friendly. The private beach is gorgeous, but take a towel from your room when you go. Twice we got to the beach and had to wait at least an hour for fresh towels to come. Try the outdoor jacuzzi in the evening. You can see the lighthouse beam and relax to the symphony of the tree frogs.

| The hotel is beautiful, but it's not convenience to the beach. You have to take a shuttle bus to it. Also, the beach is small and if you travel during the peak season, it will be over pack. The food and drink are over price. Don't leave your food in the mini bar. The cleaning people will take them and the front desk, security and manager not going to do anything about it. They blame you for being careless.

| Very nice golf course and excellent, private beach with easy access to an even nicer public beach within a few hundred yards hotel sea access. Great food and reasonable rates, but standard charge of 15% gratuity applies to all service purchases though 10% is often the best earned.

| Only one thing to keep in mind, if you are travelling with children they eat free. They don't tell you this and you may wind up paying for meals especially at the beach. Overall a very nice property.
