Hotel was attractive and clean. Views of the red rock formations were spectacular. Nicest thing was the very friendly service from hotel staff and the pleasant common room with books and newspapers, plus coffee and ice tea available all day. This put the hotel a cut above.

This hotel was perfectly nestled between many of Sedona's beautiful sites... The cleanliness amzazed us as the hotel housekeeping staff swept the parking lot upto three times daily. The rooms are well kept and extremely comfortable. Make sure to book a room on the second floor for unforgettable views of Sedona.

Sedona has a lot to offer in terms of shopping, natural surroundings and relative closeness to the Phoenix metro area. While a recent wildfire covered the area in smoke and fear, the immediate area is untouched and only evidenced in the upper regions of oak canyon. There is no marring of the beautiful red rock monuments and only thank you signs to all the firefighters as reminents of the 2006 wildfire. The hotel is small but nicely decored in Southwest style. The pool is very small but nice on a starlit evening. The rooms are comfortable and worth the few extra dollars over the common hotel chains. The continental breakfast is a great extra treat and making your own waffles and having fresh bagles withe 4 choices of cream cheese is a great extra bargain verses having to go find a restaurant. Keep in mind the hotel is completely non-smoking and requires you to sign a $300 fine agreement if you break the rules. If you are looking for a comfortable and moderately elegent setting with descent views and near all the area has to offer then this is a great place.

Great breakfast in the morning with the Belgium waffles. Get a 2nd floor room for a great view and cozy fireplace. Wonderful staff, very clean grounds, updated rooms w/ wi-fi internet and cable. Comfy big beds with a great natural log headboard. Concierge was very helpful in recommending local attractions, especially the Heartline Cafe for it's famous home grown trout dinner. Would definitely go back to this location each time in Sedona, worth every penny.

We were in Sedona for a business trip and wanted to stay an extra night. We found the Southwest Inn and thought it looked like a great deal for a 4-star hotel. As we passed the hotel on our way in to town I was extremely disappointed. It's right on the highway and while it looked nice, you could definitely tell it wasn't 4-star quality. The room itself was nice, decorated in the southwest theme, but not great. We paid for the deluxe, second floor room for the view only to find our view was of the parking lot and trees that completely obscured the views of the red rock formations. The breakfast room was nice and food was standard fare. The computer room is off the breakfast room, and while wireless access is free they do charge a lot to use their computers. Overall, we were really disappointed because it was far below our expectations.
