| The Eastland Park Hotel sits on top of a hill in downtown Portland, ME at the corner of High St and Congress St; withing walking distance to Old Port and the waterfront. It is an old brick hotel, built in 1927, that has undergone major renovation; some still onging. The staff was professional, the rooms clean and spacious, with great views of Portland.

| Hotel was in a perfect location downtown and was great. The only thing is that most Contenintal breakfasts are free but here they have a charge of $8(eight dollars) for cereal or toast which I informed them was very rediculous and left.

| This hotel is still making it's comeback. It is cool and interesting because it is not your regular chain hotel, but rather an old historic property. They are doing their best trying to keep up with maintenance but it does have a very musty smell and only one working elevator when I was there. The price was okay but I think if you called them directly, they would be willing to accomodate you.

| It's evident that at one point in time this was a "Grand" hotel. Unfortunately, time has taken it's toll on the interior. It's a middle of the road accomodation. Not the best, but clearly not the worst. The rooftop bar is a nice feature.

| The hotel has nice lobby, and personnel were very friendly. However, the cleanliness and comfort of the room were awful because the ac didn't work in the 2 rooms we stayed in, and the bathrooms stunk like a locker room. Wouldn't recommend this hotel at all. Also, it costs a small fortune per night to park which was not disclosed to us.

| This is a formerly grand hotel that's trying to come back but still has a long way to go. The bathroom had paint peeling off the ceiling and a mirror half covering the old in-the-wall tissue dispenser. Just a bit tacky. And they ran out of wash cloths. How does a hotel hoping to improve itself run out of wash cloths? Parking next door is an additional $11 if you get your ticket validated at the front desk or $18.75 otherwise. Give them some time to finish the upgrades they seem to be working on - they're not there yet.

| Very nice downtown hotel with lots of restaurants and interesting shops within walking distance. The room was not large, but very nicely appointed. The beds were very comfortable and we slept really well. The included continental breakfast was well above average. We booked the expedia special rate which included discount parking and breakfast. Recommend.

| Checked in at 9PM starving, front desk clerk actually said she wasn't familiar with any of the restaurants close to the hotel. We luckily found one. The room was incredibly small, with stained bathtub and water damage. We checked out at stayed the next few nights at the Portland Regency, which was much better.
