| Hotel is great...however, plan on having a car, as everything to do requires a distance drive from here, unless of course all you want is the beach -- but be aware, beaches on Puerto Rico all close a 6 p.m. and by close, that means they lock the gates to the sand!

| The Hilton Ponce is a beautiful hotel with excellent views should you be lucky enough to get one. Other reviews are correct in the fact that the food is fairly expensive at the hotel and the wait staff aren't thrilled serving A la carte. Our two children, 10 and 14 usually ate free keeping cost low at the buffet. The sports bar serves $9 burgers and $12-$16 pizzas to name a few. Fast food is abundant in Puerto Rico and finding good local places seemed a chore. Pito's is indeed good and not too far. Local beaches are tough to find and not marked for tourists. The hotel beach, although not bad, was small and closed early around 6pm. Probably due to the mosquitos. The pool is a very good size and noodles and floating mats are provided at the hotel. All of the staff, except a few waiters, were very friendly. Getting enough towels for a family of 4 was a battle at times. The locals were very kind as we attempted to speak their language. Ponce is lovely but not ideal for finding lots of activities and sightseeing.

| The Hilton Casino is a good Hotel to stay at. It has all of the comforts one would want in a Hotel. You do not need to leave the hotel if you do not want to. It has bars, pool, fitness center, spa, casino and of course a beach. The beach area was a little smaller than I expected it to be but it was peacefull. It is not the most beautiful beach in the world but it is not an ugly beach at all. The water is very tranquill with not much surf. I would recommend a car so that you can visit all the many attractions of Puerto Rico.

| The room was very large and clean. The bed was comfortable and large. There were on screens on the doors to the porch so there was a problem leaving the doors open to get fresh air at night, since there were quite a few mosquitoes. The service was generally good except on Sat. morning at the restaurant it took 45 minutes to get an order of eggs off the menu instead of the buffet. They can't handle the load on the weekends apparently. The manager didn't charge us for the breakfast, but it sure was aggravating. The spa has a massage table right in the same room as the hairdresser and cosmetician with only a curtain between. The noise is not conducive to a relaxing massage.

| The beach is narrow & not luxurious; the grounds are utilitarian and don't scream out 'play and relax here. Golf course is great, people were nice, location is very good if you are in Ponce or along the south shore. This is not the type of Hotel you will want to go to for your honeymoon or your vacation to get away from it all. Hilton will nickle & dime you (eg parking 4.50 self park; 10 valet). While that's the hotel business, it takes away from the ambience that a resort should convey.

| The hotel was fine if you planned on staying in one place and liked to play golf. It is very expensive to eat at the hotel and there was not much nearby. The concierage sent us on a tri to one of the local attractions that was a 2 hour drive each way only to find it was closed. We left a day early which was nonrefunable and went to San Juan

| The hotel was very nice and so were the amenities. There's a beach on the property, pool, hot tub, inflattable pool tools, water coolers etc. The location is secluded, so you wouldn't be able to get into downtown Ponce without a car. On the downside, most of the bars in the hotel are only open Fridays and Saturdays so it was generally pretty quiet. Nice casino but small. Parking at the hotel is $4.50 per day.
