Features
What to expect: Individual attention amid elegant surroundings is the hallmark of this independently-owned boutique hotel. The Wedgewood is adorned throughout with antiques, fresh flowers, and original works of art—many from the hotel owner’s private collection. Amenity highlights: The hotel’s Bacchus restaurant is renowned for its sophisticated Modern French cuisine, outstanding wine list, afternoon tea, and weekend brunch. The intimate Spa at the Wedgewood indulges clients with an array of massage and skin treatments, such as the Sea of Senses Facial and Tahitian Island Tranquility. The hotel has a fully equipped fitness center and a garden patio on the second floor. There is no additional charge for the use of a computer with high-speed Internet access in the business center. Insider tip: The hotel is across the street from the provincial Law Courts building with its roof-top gardens and multi-level waterfalls. An island of calm amid the traffic, the gardens are a great place to laze in the sun or enjoy an alfresco lunch.
Bacchus Bar & Lounge - Italian Murano chandeliers illuminate rich wood paneling, antiques, fresh flowers, and original works of art in this award-winning restaurant. The Modern French menu features lobster rolls, crisp potato-topped halibut, and oven-roasted Fraser Valley duck. Bacchus is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, weekend brunch, and afternoon tea. The hotel’s lounge, with its fireplace and plush velvet chesterfields, is one of the Vancouver’s most popular see-and-be-seen gathering spots.

| We were in Vancouver to get married. We decided to stay in a smaller hotel rather than a large chain, since this was a special trip. We chose the right place! It is so conveniently located to everything, the staff is wonderful and helpful, the room was very spacious, and the hotel and restaurant exuded a dignified European charm. This is the only place we would ever stay in Vancouver!

| This was my first time staying at a "boutique" hotel and I was more than impressed. The staff, service, cleanliness and location were all superb. Requests were accommodated within minutes of my call. I think the Wedgewood has spoiled me for all future hotel stays. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit the Vancouver area, either for business or pleasure.

| This is not the largest hotel, but it is truly a Eurpean boutigue. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff is very helpful. The bar is beautiful but very expensive.

| Not quite sure why this hotel has such a high rating. I don't even think this hotel deserves 4 stars. It didn't look like they are well organized at all. They didn't have my reservation when I arrived and then gave a room of which heating was out of order. Many of staffs were very arrogant. It didn't look like they felt sorry for the inconvenience I have experienced. Only upside was the service at the restaurant. Very friendly waiters and good food.

| Just the nicest people, the most friendly, gracious service, beautiful lobby, tasteful, calm rooms. This place is all about the people, who are terrific. No great views. The fitness room is tiny--it looks big on the virtual tour because it's mirrored. Wedgewood was in restoration, so there was some noise. But really we had a great time there--the location is excellent, across the street from the art museum, shops, sushi...

| If you're looking for an alternative to the big chain hotels with a touch of sophistication and great service The Wedgewood is definitely the place to go. Just off Robson Street, it's centrally located and within easy walking distance of just about everywhere (umbrellas kindly provided for those wet Vancouver winter days!) The rooms are well furnished, perfectly maintained and with nice touches such as Gilchrist and Soames toiletries. Although the bathroom was on the small side it was beautifully fitted. We were greeted with a complimentary box of chocolates on our first evening, together with bottles of chilled water. On subsequent nights cookies were delivered, once again with water and a turndown service provided. All the staff were friendly and helpful. And if all that wasn't enough, the hotel's restaurant Bacchus was fabulous! The only thing that marred my stay was not being able to have a spa treatment due to not having booked ahead! Next time maybe........
