If we didn't prepay for our stay through Expedia, we definitely would've checked out earlier to stay somewhere else. It was our first trip to Ft. Lauderdale, so we didn't know any better and thought it would be a fine hotel to stay at. Our room was okay, but definitely needs some updating. The showerhead was loose and about to come of the wall, some of the towels really old and not very luxurious. We never ate at the restaurant since we have a 2 year old, but room service was not so great. The minibar was missing quite a few items and was never fully stocked. Our room was only cleaned properly after I complained - the complimentary items was only partially restocked. I had to ask for clean glasses after three days of washing the old ones myself! The furniture in our room was old and needed a facelift - all the lamp shades were loose and hanging lopsided, the closet doors were hard to open/close and about to fall out. Housekeeping/room service and other staff could not all speak understandable English and were not very friendly and the concierge not very helpful. Wireless internet was $10/day and the signal not very strong. No, we will definitely not stay here again.

Location is good, not too far or too close to the beach. If being near the beach isn't a necessity, I would suggest staying at the Davie Renaissance since it is newer.

My husband and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary by going to Fort Lauderdale! By staying at this hotel the trip was awesome! The hotel is beautifully decorated so thier are a lot of great places to take pictures, it is super clean, and the service is magnificant! It rained two days that we were their so it was nice to have such a great hotel where we could hang out! It also nice that their is a Walgreens across the street just in case you forget anything. The beach is about a 40 min walk. Las Olas is a 10 minute cab drive away. A block from the hotel is good sushi place. Vito's is a good joint for pizza and sandwiches, and delivery to the hotel is free!
