Features
What to expect: After entering through Hotel St Paul's century-old façade, guests find themselves in the minimalist, marble-floored lobby. A floor-to-ceiling alabaster fireplace hides an intimate sitting area to the left of the check-in desk. Cream leather banquette sofas border ceiling-high windows overlooking the city streets. Business and leisure travelers alike appreciate the hotel's Old Montréal location. Amenity highlights: Cube is the hotel's stylish lobby restaurant, highly regarded by locals for its menu as well as its minimalist decor. The restaurant's small bar is often busy at the end of the workday and is a good place to spot visiting film industry luminaries. Hallways on each floor are lit with different colors. An atrium lounge on the second floor provides a peaceful setting for reading or relaxing. Insider tip: The Montréal Museum of Archaeology is 5 blocks from the hotel, and offers engaging displays and programs that highlight the history of Old Montréal, particularly the architecture and development of the surrounding area.
A complimentary buffet breakfast is provided each morning in the Cube II restaurant. Cube - The Hotel St Paul's lobby restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and is highly regarded by locals for its menu as well as its decor. Attention to minimalist design is evident throughout, as are the use of unusual stone materials on surfaces. The lunch menu has a small but varied table d'hôte, and the dinner menu is highlighted by caviar and seafood dishes. The restaurant's small bar opens onto the lobby and is often busy at the end of the work day. Cube II - Located next to the atrium lounge on the second floor, and open for breakfast only. Serves the hotel's complimentary hot European continental breakfast buffet, as well as à la carte menu items.

| The interior design was marvelous. Modern concepts work well throughout the hotel; a consistant harmony seems to be everywhere. I enjoyed the continental breakfast, especially the crossants with the dark chocolate in the middle. Yum!

| The Hotel is centrally located at one end of Old Montreal or Vieux Montreal. On the outside it looks like a grand old hotel, but on the inside it is incredibly modern. The hotel was renovated and updated with all of the amenities one would expect in a four star hotel, and the interior decoration is truly chic and modern. We found it to be a very comfortable and fun place to stay. It was easy to get to all the major sites, and the Victoria Square metro station was only four blocks away making it easy to access just about any portion of the city. We highly recommend the hotel.

| The St. Paul Hotel is an oasis conveniently situated the downtown waterfront "scoop" of Montreal, at the gate of several happening neighborhoods and well known thoroughfares. Here, the highly professional staff greeted and treated me like the V.I.P. I felt like in this elegantly minimalist place. The secret is to offer the very best without overdoing it--that what made the amenities right down to the bath soap special and exquisite. In less than 24 hours, I took several luxurious baths in my deep-soak tub, slept like a sated infant on the bed with the furry comforter and perfectly firm pillows, enjoyed a delicious Madras cocktail at their house bar--complete with trance/groove soundtrack (much more satisfying than going to a club), and smiled all through the delectable and varietal continental breakfast as I read the latest edition of Wallpaper. The St. Paul is on the forfront of a new hybrid--both hip and warm. It is possible to be chic and cozy. An endnote: The fireplace alone may tempt you to set up house in the lobby.

| I spent a week in this hotel during a travelling around Canada for my vacation. When I arrived Montreal it was raining and it rained all the week. So, I was in the hotel lot of times. But the thing was that the hotel is so comfortable and relaxing, I was very happy and like in a spa. Breakfast is great, bath tub is huge, bed is excellent, tv, dvd player and kitchen are great for staying in. It was really a pleasure.

| Great location (in old port but short 2-block walk to metro for easy trips to other parts of the city). Friendly and unfailingly helpful, fluently bilingual staff made the stay (for our family of four) and sightseeing excursions effortless. We would not take a single "do-over" on any of the staff's dining or recreation recommendations. Go to Montreal. Stay at the St. Paul. Enjoy!

| This boutique hotel housed in a nineteenth-century building in Vieux Montreal makes an excellent contrast to the cosy, historic neighborhood surroundings. The service is excellent, the rooms nicely appointed, and the included continental breakfast and deep, spacious bath make the hotel worth the while. The fireplace in the lobby and the twinkling amber lights outside added to the delightful European feeling both the hotel and the city provide.

| Montreal is a fantastic city to visit, so top of your trip by staying at this chic boutique hotel in the old Montreal area. The service is excellent and the room not only looks clean, it smells inviting too! It is in a good location, a few minutes' walk to the heart of Old Montreal in one direction, and just a few blocks to a subway station.

| The staff was always at your service and very pleasant. Not only did they jump to find us the perfect restaurant or activity for the day, but will go through the tumbled dirty sheets in the laundry to find one guest's daughter's favorite stuffed animal. The decor and amibiance was wonderful and the price was wonderful given. I felt like a queen.

| Be Prepared- this hotel is very modern. The hallways and elevators were very dark and everything in the room was very angular. Even though we were in one of the hotel's smaller rooms, we were impressed by how spacious it and the bathroom was. Breakfast was wonderful. Don't miss it. Hotel staff was very helpful recommending dinning and making reservations for us.
