| Really spacious room with large bathroom. Guest services was helpful and location was central. Right above train station which was useful as well. Great for a mid-range hotel. Somewhat dated design if that matters to you. We were on a non-smoking floor but because of the open plan, the hallways were still smoky.

| I arrived early figuring I would have to leave my bags and do some sightseeing before my room was ready. They not only had a room ready, they upgraded me. Great views and centrally located on the subway line. I will definitely stay here the next time I'm in Kyoto!

| The room was very nice. Bathroom was wonderful! Loved the robes and slippers. Best thing was the location next to the City Hall and Downtown shopping. Kyoto Hotel was, as is most hotels in Japan, not cheap, but it was quiet, well run and the staff was very helpful. Taxi from Shinkansen station to hotel was around $11.00, as I recall.
