| This hotel really can't be beat for location and price. Just off Santa Monica Blvd in Beverly Hills it's close to great shopping and great eating. There's a fabulous trattoria attached to the hotel but I wouldn't eat there unless the company is paying for your dinner. A delicious but simple pasta dish will set you back almost $20. The hotel itself is what you would expect to get for this low price. Rooms are small but efficent and all suround the courtyard with a lovely pool and comfortable lounging chairs. The bed was pretty squeaky so if you plan any "amorous" evenings or move around a lot in your sleep, keep that in mind. The airconditioner completely drowned out the sound on the television so you're left with a choice, be cool and bored, or warm and entertained.

| Location made up for any of the flaws this hotel might have. The room was uniquely decorated in an Asian theme -- and was clean and definitely satisfactory. The in-room refrigerator was also a bonus, because you could chill wine, cheese and other beverages that you could enjoy at the lounging area poolside. The bathroom deserves a little bit more attention since black spots from the mildew is definitely noticeable. The management and staff were friendly and very helpful and accomodating. Did I mention the extra bonus of free parking at this property? Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

| The location of this hotel was good. Room was a little small but comfortable. Not sure about the cleanliness of the bathroom though since it had some sort of smell when we arrived in. Breakfast was weak.

| Stayed there for five nights recently. It's not a 5-star hotel, but nor does it aspire to it... instead it just does everything just right. The people were really nice and courteous, the setting (secret courtyard pool) is perfectly done, and the rooms are modest but clean and comfortable. Oh, and it's in a great neighborhood. It made all the difference during my stay there.

| This hotel is good for young travelers who don't care about hotels so much. It is quite Hollywood, whereby everything looks great as a movie set does, but if you look closely or push too hard on something - the quality of everything shows. It seems as if it was designed by a trendy design school student for their final project. While it was good, there was something a little "off". Having said all of that, the staff was very cordial, everything was clean, the bathroom was very nice, and it was a fun "experience" to stay there. Stay here if you dont want a traditional hotel experience and you're on a tight budget and you aren't with loud kids (the walls are thin).

| A nice hotel in a good location. The staff was nice. The veranda for breakfast was awesome. The interior is artfully decorated. My 12 year old daughter loved the birds in the lobby. Make sure you ask for a room away from Santa Monica Blvd. Our room was loud, I'm sure the interior rooms were much better. Also, could smell someone smoking in the middle of the night. For a non-smoking hotel it seemed like there was a lot of smoking going on. Maybe I'm too sensitive. :)

| It's nearly impossible to find a hotel in the Westwood area for a decent price. This hotel was in the heart of Beverly Hills, about 10 minutes from Westwood and 10 minutes from West Hollywood. So the location was excellent. The hotel has a very European feel to it. The furniture in the room was very nice. The room was very small but adequate for two people. It was clean, which was the most important thing. Parking was free, which is quite rare ANYWHERE in LA. My biggest complaint was that the TV is mounted high up on the wall, almost like a hospital room. It was tough to see the TV from the bed. Also, the room smelled like smoke.

| I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, but it is not for everyone. It is an old 1960's era motel which has been tastefully and appropriately remodeled, but the rooms all open to the pool and courtyard which could get noisy if the weather is good. Staff was very helpful and pleasant, breakfast by the pool was great and doing emails from the comfort of my bed was terrific. But my room was small and the open courtyard lent a communal feel to the experience. OK if you are relaxed about it, but not OK for some I would imagine. Great location.

| The staff is considerate and helpful. Parking was no problem, most spaces under cover with overflow accommodated on site. The room was small but adequate, very nice bathroom, and the refrigerator a bonus. The windows open and you can breath fresh air when you sleep. Reading lamps on BOTH sides of the bed would be nice. Being an inside room, it was mostly very quiet but we did close the window during the day because the piped music at the pool-side terrace was not to our taste. Breakfast on the terrace was delightful and delicious with juice, fresh melon, fruit, very good choice of breads and coffee. Both the second floor and lobby lounges looked comfortable and inviting. The polished rock displays was intriguing and inviting to touch. The location is excellent, within walking distance of beauty shop, cafe and other stores and next door to an Italian Restaurant which we didn't try. Shopping malls, movies and restaurants weere within easy driving distance. We especially liked the small hotel ambiance.
