Service was excellent. Room comfortable and clean. Hotel was not in the nicest part of town. A pub was attached to the hotel, and loud music at night was noticeable.

Our room was not fancy, but fine for what we needed - a place to rest and sleep between outings. The room was very clean, appears to have been recently painted, and the bed and furniture were fairly new. The staff were extemely friendly and helpful. The location was not perfect. The view out the back of our room was of an alley with what appeared to be low income housing across the way. Ask for a room facing the street instead. Near adult clubs and X-rated video store, but it's also 3 or 4 blocks from the trendy West End where you'll find good restaurants. Beautiful Stanley Park is also a short drive away. Good central location if you plan to take day trips to parks, gardens, etc. They have an adjacent parking lot for which there is a daily fee.

Hotel is centrally located downtown. We stayed a Saturday night before we took a cruise. We arrived late and saw a lot of people in the bars on the street and wondered if we would get a good sleep. We were pleasantly surprised that we did not hear any of the street noise. The room was clean, and the bathroom looked recently redone. The staff were helpful.

Booked this hotel because of Shuttles to Airport and Cruise Terminals - but they are public shuttles. Because we were cruising and had more than average luggage, we still had to rely on a Taxi. Booked rooms before and after cruise, could not check in until 3 P.M., no exceptions. Had to carry luggage up stairs to hotel. Plus hotel elevator very small, and if anyone was in it you had to wait for it to come back down - sometimes 2 or 3 times. Staff very nice and helpful, food in pub next door very good. Rooms were very noisy.

The hotel is right next to what appears to be a half way house...or at least one of those extremely run down boarding houses you find in downtown areas. If you're lucky enough to get a room that looks out on run down housing project next door with the people hanging out on there balconies you'll probably want to move. The hotel itself isn't horrible...internet access is a pain and has to be arranged daily with the front desk...rooms are not well taken care of as in there was at least 6 months worth of dust visible under the desk.

When I found out it was a Comfort Inn, I was a little worried. But when I got there, I was extremely satisfied with my stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the continental breakfast was awesome. My next time in Vancouver, I'll be checking in to the Comfort Inn.

This hotel is an excellent bargain and the service was great. It can be a bit noisy with lots of young people but overall I would highly recommend it.
