We were highly impressed with this 5-star hotel. We felt very pampered. The room was equisite - a full sitting room, super comfortable bed, fantastic marble bathroom. Surprised they didn't have wireless connection though.

The room was amazing! We had a fantastic time and felt totally comfortable. The beds were great and the room service was the best food I've ever had for room service...especially at 2:00 am. I would stay here again in a heart beat!

The Grand America is a wonderful hotel. From the courtyard fountain, to the elegant oil paintings, it provides a sense of elegance from the lobby. Dining is superb, though pricy, and the location is perfect. Downtown and across from the tabernacle. We had a view of the temple and salt lake from our room. The suites are massive, with two TVs, amble bath space, and 5-star bedding/sofas. My only complaint was their handling of minor details. When I needed a razor, they wanted to charge $6. Such minor amenities should be built into the daily price.

This hotel was great and I can see why they are Utah's only 5 star hotel. However, it still annoys me immensely when places like this nickel and dime you for everything. In my humble opinion, I think a nice hotel like this should include parking, local phone calls, use of the workout facility, etc.

Colleagues and I stayed at this hotel during a recent conference in the city. It exceeded our expectations in every respect. The airport pick up and drop off made getting there and back easy -in less than 10 minutes. Every member of staff was courteous and went above and beyond his or her job description. The public spaces were grand, and the executive suite was spacious and furnished to a high standard. The bathroom was one of the best features - all gleaming white marble, excellent lighting and ample towels for 3 guests. Afternoon tea in the lobby was a particular highlight for us, as well as the lovely pool. The location makes the hotel convenient both for convention and business travelers as well as those wishing to see the sights of Salt Lake. I will definitely return to this hotel for a vacation at some point in the future!

Great accomodations, and the service overall (room service, concierge, desk staff, housekeeping) was top-notch. The only complaint was the lack of an upscale restaurant in the hotel. The restaurant that's there is average-to-mediocre, at best. Room service was excellent, both in timeliness and quality of food. Oddly, the food delivered by room service seemed to be of better quality (taste and presentation) than in the in-hotel restaurant. The Grand America is a very good hotel, where they treat you exceptionally well from arrival to checkout. If they added an upscale restaurant it would be *the* place to stay if you're going to the metro SLC area.
