    Features
What to expect: Although the resort is within driving distance of all of Oahu's attractions, it is an island unto itself. Guests fly in from all over the world to indulge in luxurious accommodations and gracious hospitality and to be pampered at the renowned spa. Taste, style, and discretion reign in a gorgeous tropical setting.

Amenity highlights: Blue-and-white striped towels contrast against the hotel's all-white motif on a flagstone pool deck furnished with padded lounge chairs and white umbrellas. An enormous round pool, verdant gardens, breeze-catching palm trees, the deep-blue Pacific, and a circular, postcard-perfect beach present a tableaux of surpassing beauty.

Lauded as one of the best resort spas in the world and a destination itself, the luxurious Ihilani Spa consists of 35,000 square feet on three floors and includes an open-air lap pool, a water-exercise pool, and many usual and not-so-usual spa options. Separate men's and women's areas include saunas, steam rooms, and open-air relaxation areas.

Azul - The hotel's signature restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisine based on local ingredients. Choices include roasted lobster, mango crab cake, and foie gras salad. Features include multi-course, fixed-price meals. Inside and terrace seats are available on the oceanfront.

Naupaka Terrace - Overlooking the pool and graced by striking paintings of Hawaiians, this all-day restaurant serves breakfast, a brunch buffet, lunch, and dinner, with an emphasis on contemporary Pacific Rim cuisine.

Ushio-Tei - This exquisite Japanese restaurant features a sushi bar, Kaiseki meals, and tatami rooms.

Poolside Grill - Serving Hawaiian appetizers, sandwiches, salads, and tropical drinks, this open-air grill offers views of the ocean and is open for lunch and late-day appetizers. Evenings feature live entertainment.

Espresso Café - Located in the lobby lounge, this is the spot for complimentary morning coffee and for purchasing pastries, juice, and fruit.

Niblick - This casual spot is located in the clubhouse at Ko Olina Golf Club and includes the Bridge Bar.

We had a really amazing time at the Ihilani. The staff was friendly and efficient and our room was gorgeous. It was so nice to be away from crowded and noisy Waikiki... would stay here again without hesitation. It really felt like you were on a totally different planet. We were sad to have to return to reality!

The hotel was nice, safe, clean and staff were all very friendly and responsive to our requests. The only problem we encountered (and this was an ongoing problem) is that they were switching over the lock system (I believe) and numerous times our keys did not work despite almost constant "problem solving"! We had 2 adjoining rooms with people age 1-81, so at times this was frustrating and inconvenient to say the least. It was like playing the lottery when we put the key in the door. Will it work this time or will we be going downstairs again? Decor was nice, but I think the star rating is overrated compared to other places we've stayed in the area. Restaurants and room service were expensive, although the morning buffet is excellent. On the (very) positive side, we only paid for the lowest room category and were upgraded to ocean view without asking.

This is a great place to escape from the business of Waikiki. The resort offers every service. The spa is excellent, as are the beach and poolside facilities.

From the moment we checked in & were told we had been upgraded to an ocean view room (an unexpected but VERY pleasant surprise) until we relunctantly checked out a week later, we were impressed & thrilled with this hotel. Every employee was friendly, helpful & always smiling and the hotel itself is gorgeous. This is the first time I have included a shot of the inside of a hotel lobby ladies' room in my vacation pictures! Having the lagoons right in back of the hotel is a wonderful way to beat the crowds of Waikiki & provide great swimming, snorkeling & sunning. There are also plenty of shaded areas thanks to the palm trees & palapas and we took advantage of those on our "sunburn days". The view from our room was stunning - nothing but ocean & palm trees, not to mention the beautiful sunsets each evening. Even though it's a little spendy, the breakfast buffet was delicious & is definitely recommended, as is the relaxing spa (go for the Lomilomi massage & get there early to enjoy the Roman pool and/or sauna beforehand!) The next time we visit O'ahu, we won't even consider staying anywhere else.

Amazing resort! We spent our honeymoon here and were more than pleased. The rooms are amazing,if you can, get an ocean view, spectacular! The beds and linen are the best! We have never slept in more comfortable beds. We slept with the large sliding glass doors open (screens closed of course) and fell asleep to the gentle sounds of the ocean below. We woke to the sound of birds. Awesome. The service was exceptional, the staff always friendly and eager to help. Great breakfast downstairs, try the made to order omlettes. We cant wait to go back!

The hotel was exactly as described and shown online. The hotel employees were courteous, helpful, friendly and made us feel welcomed. The restaurants were all really good, including lunch at the pool each day. Snorkeling in the lagoons was fun. Our trip was exactly what we were looking for - rest while enjoying the pool, beach and lagoon. I'd love to go back again.

We loved this hotel! The beds are super comfy, the whole place is designed around relaxing. The spa was awesome, and the staff were very nice. Parking is $15 a day, valet or not, but it's nice to be able to call down for your car on your way out! The restaurants are great, but very pricey - you can go to Kapolei for every fav's like McDonalds, Outback, Chili's - make sure you hit COOKIE CORNER - DELICIOUS! For souveniers, don't waste your time (or money) in Waikiki - go to the Aloha stadium on Saturday and hit the open air flea market - it's huge and prices are superb - 8 t-shirts for $20 bucks (etc). The polynesian cultural center lua is the best - we went to the paradise cove one as well and didn't care for it as much. The hotel as a huge advantage - walk around the left side and you can see absolutely incredible sunsets! The lagoons are heaven, not crowded at all, and wonderful beach chairs are provided!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it could not have been more perfect. We knew that it was going to be a nice hotel but we were so shocked at how nice when we walked through the door. The room was spotless and the view was beautiful. The staff was always more than happy to help. The only dowfall which at the same time was a good thing was how far it was from everything else. It was nice to go back to a hotel and it was quiet and peaceful but at the same time when you wanted to go anywhere it was at least a 30 minute drive. But we have decided that we want to go back to Hawaii and we will most definitely stay here again.

The hotel was spectacular. The rooms were very roomy and clean. The best bathroom I have ever seen in a hotel room. Restaurants had great food but a little expensive. Great inexpensive food 5 minutes (driving) from hotel. This will save you lots of money. Resort was secluded but at the same time convenient to plenty of sightseeing. Drive 25 minutes to Waikiki for some fabulous shopping.
