| The resort is nice, but nothing extravagant. I assumed that the Beachfront rooms would be the nicest since they were the most expensive. These rooms were very average...just a bed, wicker dresser & night stand. Most of these rooms are on the beach, however, they are not what I had anticipated. I was hoping for a balcony with a sliding glass door that overlooked the beach/water. Most of the beachfront rooms do not have a back porch/balcony (much less a window or sliding door)...it appeared that the balcony was actually your front porch and door...so you could not sleep with your door open at night. We got lucky and got a room in the 500 block. These do have back balconies that open to the water...be sure you request these rooms if you want to be able to have some privacy and hear the ocean at night. The Oceanview rooms (600, 700 & 800s) actually looked bigger and nicer. They were quite a hike up some stairs, but they seemed to have really nice views (although, not real close to the water). We did really enjoy the Pineapple beach. It was a decent size, somewhat secluded, beautiful water and sand. We had no problem getting chairs, but we did put our towels down before we went to breakfast to be safe. The resort is on the northeast part of the island...so no real sunsets, and the sunrise was kind of hard to come by too. Bugs were not a problem on this part of the island.
