| My fiancee and I stayed here over Labor Day weekend '06. The hotel location is in a safe, clean neighborhood within walking distance to major attractions (eg: White House, Washington Monument). The valet parking was a little disorganized for the $24/day we paid and the friendliness of the reception desk could improve a bit. The night manager hardly made us feel welcomed and was not really helpful as far as questions we asked, but the check-in was prompt and efficient, even though the welcoming not as warm as one might expect. The room was pretty small but clean. The AC didnt work as it should, but all together it was an ok experience.

| I went with my family to Washington DC and was very pleased with the Beacon hotel. They upgraded us to suite when they saw I was with my husband and daughter. They were very responsive to our needs and their location was great.

| The Beacon Hotel was a good find! Close to all the monuments of Washington, D.C. if you don't mind taking a stroll. Very clean and we were surprised with a kitchenette that was not listed for the hotel which was a real nice treat. Matter of fact, we were only staying one night and the children coaxed us to stay another night just because the hotel was so nice.

| We had a fabulous stay at the Beacon Hotel. I felt a little misled, however, by the pictures on the website--I booked a King Deluxe, but it wasn't anything like the picture had made it look. It was still very nice and clean, but certainly not what I had expected. Overall, it was great, and I surely recommend it to anyone, particularly people travelling on business because it is quite close to downtown and local attractions.

| The only reason I gave it a four on condition/maintnence is because the internet wasn't working. Great bar.

| The hotel is in a perfect location - not too busy; not too remote; and good restaurants and shops are a nearby walk. The National Geographic Museum is half a block walk. The rooms are quite small but overall my stay was pleasant and the hotel is pretty good. My only complaint is that the front desk staff are a bit nonchalant and too laid back in responding to your requests/enquiries. Be aware as well that the hotel states that it offers spa services. There is no spa on site, only a mobile, sub-contracted spa service that is way overpriced and with very limited availability. I would recommend this hotel to discerning travelers who want value for their money.
