Features
What to expect: Renovated in 2001, the Hilton offers a business-oriented, contemporary presence amid the grand old buildings of Embassy Row and the Kalorama neighborhood. Kalorama is Greek for "beautiful view," and this is indeed a lovely area, with tree-lined streets, Gilded Age mansions, quiet green spaces, and stylish shops. The hotel's lobby and adjoining lounge are highlighted by a fireplace and murals depicting notable neighboring buildings. Amenity highlights: The large rooftop pool with poolside bar and sundeck is a high point, with views stretching from the Washington Monument to Georgetown, Virginia, and Maryland. It’s open seasonally. The International Marketplace restaurant, located on the lower level, features generous buffets starring American and international favorites. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel; guests without network cards can rent them. Insider tip: A bookstore with a bar? That's Kramerbooks, two blocks away on Connecticut Avenue. This independent bookstore includes the Afterwords bar and enclosed sidewalk café. Live music—aboriginal, acoustic, jazz, and more—is presented Wednesday through Saturday evenings.
International Marketplace - American and international favorites, including seafood, salads, steaks, pasta. Black-and-yellow decor with bright, jazzy murals. Banquette and table seating. Breakfast and lunch buffet Monday through Friday. À la carte breakfast and lunch Saturday and Sunday. À la carte dinner daily. Located on lower level of hotel. Lobby Lounge - Fireplace, mahogany bar, murals depicting neighboring Embassy buildings. Happy hour includes complimentary hors d'oeuvres.

| It is convenient, quiet, and comfortable. It is highly recommended to stay around Dupon Circle area. It is located 3 minutes walk to the subway station. It is easy to find numerous Italinan restaurants. The restaurant price is reasonable. Embassy view is nice. The room is big enough for three people.

| The hotel is convenient to DuPont Circle and the K street area. Rooms are comfortable and quiet. The only difficult, it was impossible to get a receipt from the front desk because the room had been booked through this site. The drown behind the desk just kept repeating that, they did not have the information.

| The location is the best reason to stay at this hotel. It is in a nice area of town within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. It is also only a block away from Dupont Circle train station which made getting around the city a breeze. DC has a wonderful subway system so skip the hassle of rental cars and parking fees.

| Although conveniently located (next to the metro station), the hotel wasn't as nice as other hotels going at the same rate in a closeby vacinity.

| The only good thing about this hotel is its location. At 7AM we were rudely awakened by drilling and hammering in an adjacent room. Bathroom was dingy. The maid didn't resupply us with toilet paper or tissues. The heater didn't work well and the room was too cold (we stayed there at the end of December).
