| Although this hotel has been a staple for me in earlier travels, it needs to be refurbished a bit as our room has seen better days. All in all though it is still a nice place to stay when in NYC

| What an extremely enjoyable experience. Our trip to New York was definitely enhanced by our stay at The Drake. The room was good-sized & very comfortable, the staff was very hospitable, and the location is perfect. Our first and last drinks in New York were at the hotel bar, and the bartenders made us feel welcome and not want to have to leave. Everything from beginning to end was top notch.

| The hotel is well maintained and certainly has a very upscale ambiance, yet is small enough to provide excellent service. Very European feel; the Swiss don't do many things, but the things they do, they're the best at! Beautiful rooms and common areas. Great location; you can walk almost anywhere from here. Would definitely return, especially with another Expedia deal.

| I read lots of hotel reviews before I chose one to spend my time in NYC again. The last times I was there I stayed near Times Square, and found it too busy and tourist oriented. I was very pleased with the location of The Drake. It's in a calm location, yet close to many major attractions like Times Square, Rockfeller Center, 5th Ave., MOMA, Central Park, and Chic Upper East side. The pictures shown at expedia website do great justice. What you see is what you get. The rooms were comfortable and stylish. There is a great french tea/sweets store in the ground level. (Fauchon). I got a delicious birthday cake from there. If you have expensive taste for sweets, this is the perfect place to shop. There are great affordable restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel too. The only thing that came as a shocker was the 10 dollar Stella beer at the Q56 restaurant. Room and Recepcionist service were quick and polite. Definetely a safe place to stay!

| My only reason for giving the room a cleanliness rating of a 4 was because I think it was time for the room to have a "deep" cleaning session. Overall the room was fine, but the baseboards, the corners, and behind the windows was in need of cleaning.
