| The hotel is quite adequate as a no-frills place to stay. The location is convenient for the university district but is otherwise a grim, run-down area. My chief complaint is that the room had a strong smell of disinfectant or some other cleaning agent. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The coffee served with the complementary breakfast was terrible!

| We stayed in the Hampton Inn - Pittsburgh because we were checking out U of Pitt. Hotel was only a few blocks from the campus, we walked to dinner and back, but they had a shuttle for those who did not want to walk. Breakfast was excellent, one of the best Continental Breakfasts I have had at a hotel. Would definately go back!!

| The staff was extremely friendly in accomodating our requests. The continental breakfast was top-notch and the rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. Fast and very convenient shuttle service to anywhere in the Oakland area. Overall a great place to stay.

| Overall, the hotel was fine. They had done some work on the elevators earlier in the day (another guest told us he had to take the stairs to the 8th floor with his luggage). Our room was nice, but nothing exceptional. The continental breakfast in the morning was just a completely horrible experience. There was nowhere near enough seating and the food selection was extremely limited. Not what I expected from a Hampton Inn.

| The front desk staff very friendly. The room smelled very fresh and the blankets were turned down. The bathroom was very clean and modern. Excellent continental breakfast.
