Great hotel with large comfortable suites compared with the New York standard. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Location wise, hotel is very convenient to all downtown attractions but outside the bubble a bit in order to save you a bit of money. You won't be disappointed.

I stayed at this hotel as part of an overnight package; had never stayed at a Fitzpatrick Hotel before. Room was extremely clean and comfortable; a little dark but I didn't consider that a problem. Only negative was food. I had lunch from the bar menu and it was both overpriced and blah. I don't know if other meals would be better but considering what Irish pub food is usually like, I doubt it. Staff was extremely polite and very quick to remember names.

The hotel's location is excelent. Our room was very spacious, for NYC standards, the bathroom was attractive and the toiletries were better what you usually get at moderately priced hotels. However, the best feature of this hotel was its super-friendly staff. The lady at the reception desk was delightful and extremely helpful. We will definitely return to the Fitzpatrick.

This is a lovely hotel in a nice area. We were upgraded from a regular room to a suite, although we didn't request it. The suite was beautiful, but staff told us the regular rooms have nice space by New York standards. The hotel has a nice little Irish bar and restaurant adjacent to it with access through the lobby and from the street.

What a great little hotel. Rooms were smallish, but very comfortable. I think this was the best lighting I've ever seen in a hotel room. No squinting to read a book a night because of recessed lighting over the bed and wonderful bright lights in the bathroom. Staff was very friendly. Gave us free drink vouchers for the hotel pub when our room wasn't ready upon arrival. (was ready 10 min. later) Good location. Subway stop was only 2 blocks in either direction. I would definitely stay here again!

I was not there for leisure or business and I will stay there through all my visits to New York. This hotel exceeded all of my expectations, even though I didn't have any. It was a medical trip and extremely emotional, they found a way to make it enjoyable with just old fashioned courtesy and sincere appreciation for the customer.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The restaurant was a bit pricey, with a somewhat limited menu however, they do make it up in service (with a 24 hour menu) and the food was quite delicious. Our room had no view and was quite small, although you have to expect that in the city, except I would have appreciated more for the money spent. What we lacked in space did make up for in cleanliness & comfort. The pillowtop mattress was wonderful to sleep on after a day of walking around the city. The bathroom was a beautiful black & white tile & quite exquisite, with a nice shower & wonderful robe was provided for even further comfort. Easy access to the subway & all the major shopping on Lexington Ave with some major name brand stores as well as some quaint boutiques along the way. Plus you are only a few blocks from Central Park & it is a nice walk especially in the evening to Times Square & the Theater District.

I had a wonderful time in the Fitzpatrick. The staff was incredibly helpful in finding directions or addresses or phone numbers and recommending restaurants to me during my stay in New York. I would definetly recommend this hotel to others, and I had a wonderful time in New York.

Warning: There is NO air conditioning in this hotel from October until late April. It was stifling heat in our room with no ventilation during our weekend stay in early April. The windows were screwed shut. No one at the hotel notified us, the front desk called to see if our room was satisfactory. I asked what was wrong with the air conditioning? They told me the city of New York controlled it, and it could not be turned on. They finally sent someone in to unscrew the windows so we got a little breeze. I almost checked out and didn't care about losing my money. Other than that, the suite room was perfect. A great floor plan. An attractive bar/restaurant. A good location. I will never go back from October through April.
