| We chose to stay in Bakersfield for the night on our way to Yosemite from SoCal. Good sized room, with two queen beds. We could have had a rm closer to the pool, but with 2 dbls (our 10 yr old loves to swim). Not many restaurants nearby, although the grill on site served an adequate meal, but the service was slow. The hotel was very satisfactory as a transit stop.

| The room we had didnot have a working air conditioning and we had to move to another room. The hotel didnot have enough safe deposit boxes to secure valuables. We were going to the Circus in town and we had to carry our valuables with us. The trash cans did not have plastic bags and the carpet had iron stains.

| I was disappointed with my room because it was old and on the second level without an elevator. I had several items of luggage to transport up to the room and there was no one in sight to help me. When I checked out, the desk person was very impersonal and cold.
