The Ritz-Carlton New York, Battery Park Amenities
The hotel offers 24-hour room service, child care, currency exchange, express check-in and check-out, and the services of a bath butler.

Features
What to expect: In addition to its superb harbor views, this stylish hotel provides excellent service for both business and leisure travelers and is conveniently close to Wall Street and the Statue of Liberty ferries. The hotel’s extraordinary collection of original art, in both guestrooms and public spaces, includes work by 100 New York artists.

Amenity highlights: Guests can enjoy an in-room massage, call a bath butler to fill the marble tub, and afterwards sink into inviting feather beds made up with duvets and down pillows. Dual-line cordless phones have voice mail and data port hookups, and in-room safes accommodate a laptop computer and have electrical outlets for recharging. The Ritz Kids program provides games, children’s movies, and “kiddie comfort foods” on the room-service menu. Tuck-in service includes a teddy bear for company.

2 West - The lobby-level restaurant offers dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows with harbor views, along with outdoor seating in warmer months. The New American dinner menu features fresh regional ingredients, and a notable wine list offers vintages from around the globe. Japanese-style bento boxes are a popular choice for lunch.

Lobby Lounge - Accented with original art, the lounge is the perfect meeting spot for cocktails or the hotel’s celebrated afternoon English or Power teas.

Rise - Drinks with a view are served in this 14th-floor bar, along with dim sum and other light fare. The Cristal Sunday Brunch makes it a favorite neighborhood spot, especially in summer, when the terrace overlooking the water is available.

WOnderful 5 star hotel. Enjoyed a suite with enormous bath with soaking tub and giant shower & great appointments. Room service & restauratn wait staff were not quite up to snuff, but fodd was great. High Tea reportedly offered, but told it would take one hour to prepare. Great section of the city...bring jogging or walking shoes as hotel right on west side greenway. Great gym, too. Ferry just outside front door, subway about a block away.

I booked this hotel so that my daughter would have a trip to remember. We got a suite at the Ritz and were totally impreseed. There was lots of room, no noise from other guests. The food was totally awesome as well. Most definitely a place I would like to stay at again.

Overall the Ritz is what you'd expect given its name & location, however much of the service at the hotel seemed uncomfortably attentive -- if the "do not disturb" sign was not on the door at all times, housekeeping came 3-4 times a day to fluff the pillows, place a new room service menu on the desk, etc. while at the same time seeming to only sporadically remember to do things like bring the morning paper. The club lounge was a nice touch though with excellent food & beverages provide pretty much whenever you'd want during the normal hours of the morning, afternoon, and evening. After traveling around Manhattan for a week, I have to say that there are more centrally located hotels that seemed every bit as nice for less money and less pretention...unless that's what you're after.

We were especially pleased by the attention paid to our two young daughters. They very much enjoyed the two small stuffed animals given to them. The location was also extremely convenient, just across the street from the ferry for the Statue of Liberty.

The hotel was not as extravagant as the name appears to be. It was very business like not a place for leisure or exciting activities.
