Features
What to expect: Majestically situated at 7,400–7,700 feet elevation looking down at Nevada's Carson Valley 2,000 feet below, The Ridge Tahoe furnishes year-round family activity, including tennis, swimming, and access to snow sports. In summer, there are rock-climbing and hiking tours and, in winter, snowshoeing expeditions. Other complimentary activities include movies, bingo, pottery and painting classes, cooking demonstrations, and wine tastings. Complimentary shuttle service ferries guests around the resort and to casinos, Lake Tahoe's beaches, and other ski resorts. Amenity highlights: In summer, a large crescent-shape pool and six-person spa located on a rocky knoll provide breathtaking views of the agricultural/urban valley to the east and mountains in other directions. The Clubhouse contains a heated indoor/outdoor pool and a six-person spa for year-round pleasure. The resort has its own eight-person gondola to transport skiers to Heavenly Ski Resort's Stagecoach Lodge and chairlifts. Heavenly's Boulder Lodge and more lifts are a few hundreds yards away from Stagecoach Lodge. Insider tip: Black bears might be sighted near the resort grounds, although the resort's full-time security/emergency-care staff patrols around the clock, discouraging the occasional bear.
The Hungry Bear - This linen service restaurant has mountain views and outside deck seating in summer. Selections include steak, lamb, seafood, and vegetarian dishes. Dinner served Thursdays–Saturdays and champagne brunch Sundays. The Ridge Club Deli - Gas fireplace and pool table. Soups, salads, and sandwiches.

| Hotel is kinda far from the lake, but it's got a very good view of the valley nonetheless. Room is clean and neat when we arrive. Other than having to drive up and down in the mountain, it's a good place to stay at.

| We visited in the summer. Beautiful mountain and valley views 180. Property is obviously a ski resort. When the snow is removed a few warts are exposed. Grounds could use some repair. Lobby, restaurant and club were in very good shape and the staff was also very good. Room was nice but slightly dated. Enjoyed our stay.

| 5 of us rented a 2 bedroom condo. the room is clean and view is nice, but we had very bad overall experience. the room wasn't ready after 30 minutes of after check in. no shampoo was provided, just one soap bar per room. monster truck making noise whole night downstairs. morning call was 1 hour late because hotel forgot about day light saving time. locker malfunction and we had to wait for 1 and half hour for maintenance guy to come open for us. 5 of us lots valuable ski time to wait for it. after all these, no appology from management. what they told us is "locker is complementry, so use at own risk." won't return at all.

| The service is great; the rooms are clean and comfortable. Our view this year was terrible, a snow-covered basketball court, however, last time we stayed here, we had an exceptional view of the mountains. Plan on using the shuttle service (best way to travel anytime) unless you have chains or 4-wheel drive when it snows, to get to town.

| This hotel is great if you want to be up near some ski lifts and want beautiful views. The rooms were nice and comfortable and the kitchen came in handy. We didn't eat at any of the hotel restaurants but found a few good places in the vicinity. We especially liked The Red Hut (cafe) for breakfast. Overall we had a great time!

| The Ridge Tahoe is by far the best lodging at Heavenly. It is also the most affordable for a family looking for ski on ski off facilities. We have stayed there in the summer as well and it is a lot quieter then dealing with the casino traffic on the other side of the hill

| The hotel sits on top of the ridge with a great view of the valley. The hotel is right next to the ski lift which is a plus for skiing. The hotel provides a shuttle down the mountain to the casinos. It was windy on the ridge most of the time. The room had a fire place. The rooms have comfort control which means there are no thermostats. The room had a standup shower in a whirlpool tub. It also had a VCR/DVD player. It had a coffee pot but no coffee. You can get coffee from Starbucks by registration. The restaurant was expensive ($18-25). Lots of eatting places down by the Casinos. Nice lodge.

| The only draw back of this hotel is that it does not have air conditioning, you also have to drive through winding roads to get ot it. It would have been very hard to find this place at night. Once we found our way, the scenery made up for the drive. Our room was hit by the afternoon sun and even with the fans going, it was warm. Otherwise, the room was clean, small but very efficient. Any requests from housekeeping were met almost immediately. The Spa accomodated my requests right away, had a wonderful massage.
