    Jamaica Inn Amenities
Named for an indigenous word meaning "Sacred Place of the Earth Spirits," KiYara Ocean Spa offers an all-natural approach to massage, body treatments, facials, waxing, and nail care. Treatments employ fresh ingredients without preservatives that are blended immediately prior to a session. Secluded at the resort's far end on a bluff behind a bamboo gate, the spa offers massage and body treatments in private open-air rooms bordered by dense tropical foliage, with thatch roofs supported by hand-carved wood pillars. (Facials take place inside the spa.) Some treatments employ a rain shower, others an outdoor shower—both equipped with bamboo piping.

Couples massage is offered on a terrace just above the sea, with candlelit night sessions available. A higher terrace fronting the spa furnished with thickly cushioned ocean-view lounge chairs serves as the site for yoga. Massage options include one employing warm, smooth river stones. Body treatments include Piña Colada Body Polish, Caribbean Cooler (aloe blend), East Meets West (Ayurvedic herbs, local ingredients, rain shower), and Roots Renewal (aromatic Jamaican herbal roots). Facials include Tahitian (noni fruit) and aromatherapy.

A library showcases the owners' family photographs and offers a communal puzzle, board games, books, and complimentary use of a computer with wireless Internet access. A fitness center houses cardio equipment.

“All Inclusive w/Private Transfer” and “No Meals-Includes Private Transfer” rate plans include private round-trip airport transfers. Guest should enter their flight details in the Special Request area when making the booking so that the hotel can arrange for the driver to meet them. The driver will be located outside of the airport so once they exit customs, guests should continue to the airport exit doors where the hotel driver will be waiting with a hotel sign.

    Recreation
The resort provides complimentary use of snorkeling gear for exploring a reef just off shore, small sailboats, kayaks, and a croquet lawn. The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or near the hotel; fees may apply.

    Features
What to expect: Winston Churchill came and loved the light for watercolor painting. Actress Marilyn Monroe and husband/playwright Arthur Miller, playwright Noel Coward, and novelist Ian Fleming also visited. What they found at this hotel, and what still attracts an international clientele today, is spiritual refreshment far from the madding world. Sea, beach, gardens, tropical air, and the attentions of staff members each averaging 25 to 30 years' experience, recall the grace of the pre-electronic era. The resort, opened in 1950, has been family-owned for two generations.

Amenity highlights: The resort's 213-meter (700-foot) private beach fronting a little cove of calm water and snorkeling sites offers thatch shades, cushioned lounge chairs, and ample room for tranquil sunbathing. A few yards from the beach adjacent to a croquet lawn and a thatch-shaded bar, a 15-meter (50-foot) oval pool surrounded by a sundeck with cushioned lounge chairs provides freshwater swimming.

Insider tip: Although it goes largely unused, tucked away on the second floor of a building in the rear is a television room with overstuffed seating.

This hotel offers complimentary hors d'oeuvres every evening, and complimentary planters punch is served on the beach every morning as well as in the exercise room.

Shanty Town - Overlooks the sea. Open for breakfast and lunch.

The Terrace - Five-course gourmet dinner served under the stars.

Main Bar - Decorated with antique furnishings; historic pictures, and memorabilia.

Beach Bar - Located pooside. Beach service offered as well.

We just came back from our stay at Jamaica Inn from our 7 day vacation. This was our first time in Jamaica and we couldn't have picked a more charming, relaxing and serene location. The staff was genuinely friendly, courteous and offered service with a personal touch. We were very impressed with the room accomodations. We travel a lot and found Jamaica Inn to be one of the overall best hotels we've stayed at. As far as the beach is concerned, it was the best in Ocho Rios. Without a doubt we recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking for a change of pace from the crowded oversized mega resorts.

the hotel was very nice, we stayed in the balcony suite and had a awesome beach view. the rooms were very clean and well maintained.every morning my girlfriend and i had breakfast in the balcony wich was great! i recommend the coffee in jamaica its to die for.the beach is well maintained and very isolated. the most people i saw in the beach was 6 to 8 people at the time.beach water is nice and clear. we went snorkeling right there on the beach, we saw fishes and i even saw a lobster! the food is ok, it gets old fast, the breakfast is the best! get the lpate of fresh local fruit its really good. overall the jamaica inn was really nice, good place if you want to get away from it all.

The staff were extraordinarily friendly. Would definitely recommend the all-inclusive plan. Snorkeling and the shore tour conducted by their boat man was outstanding! Can't wait to return!

came here for our honeymoon and loved every minute of our stay. Small but lovely beach that's visible from your balcony. We had breakfast on our balcony every morning...this was always brought by very friendly staff that would set our table for us. Dinner each evening was on a patio with live music. Food was good and priced fairly. Alcohol was plentiful. Staff was friendly and would bend over backwards to make your stay more enjoyable. Spa on site where we both got a very much needed massage. Overall, a great experience. When we come back to visit Ocho Rios, we won't even consider staying anywhere else.

We spent 8 nights at Jamaica Inn and were very impressed with the excellent service and overall attitude!! Highly recommned the all inclusive plan. This is a great place for relaxation. No limbo contests here!! Fabulous food, nightly live music. Small, intimate atmosphere. Nicely furnished with huge verandas. Our room was 4 steps to the beach and about 20' from the ocean. There's a variety of accommodations, and we can't wait to go back!!
