| We actually stayed here twice; once for "vacation" and once for a wedding - also being held at the hotel. Our first room was what you could call "standard"; no balcony, street-view, and although we had requested non-smoking, it smelled as though it either was formerly a smoking room or that someone had just smoked in there recently (but there were no ashtrays). The fireplace didn't work in this room, either, but the location can't be beat. Close to Boston, and the beach is gorgeous. The second time we stayed (for the wedding) our room was spectacular. Definitely non-smoking, the fireplace worked, we had a little balcony, and the room was just overall much nicer. We didn't take advantage of the continental breakfast, pool, or gym facilities, but the banquet areas were magnificent. Even on a rainy day, a beautiful wedding was had.

| This hotel was very clean. The ironing board had no cover but housekeeping brought a new one within ten minutes after I called. They were very nice and helpful. The street traffic is a little loud but not annoying. We did not care for the restaurant. The food was only ok and they charge for soft drink refills.

| The hotel staff was nice but not particularly helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. However, breakfast was pathetic. White bread, sugary muffins and cereal were all they offered. No fruit, no oatmeal, nothing wholesome at all. So we had to pay to go out to a restaurant to eat breakfast. The in-house dinner restaurant was ridiculously expensive ($17 for a garden salad!!!) So, we had to go out to eat for dinners. (I was there for business but had my two young children with me and my parents to watch them during the day.) They charge you for local calls. I know this is becoming more common but I think it's ludicrous. So, I couldn't even call for take-out without incurring extra charges! I just felt the hotel really doesn't go the extra mile to provide a really nice experience. A wholesome breakfast, a reasonably priced restaurant in-house and free local calls make a big difference to me. I've stayed at less expensive hotels that offered all of these things. Their absence caused me extra aggravation and significant expense to an already costly and stressful trip. I was disappointed.

| The Nantasket Clarion is a great value! My family of 4 spent 4 nights there in early August on a short vacation to Boston & the beach. Wonderfully situated on the beach, it's great for relaxing and having fun. Access to the city requires 2 modes of transport; best by driving a car to ferry or subway. This makes getting into/out of the city doable, but takes 45-60 minutes. Several restaurants nearby and hotel has restaurant & bar; also has fridge and microwave in room. Well-meaning staff seemed stretched and service fell a bit short of expectations.

| We found the hotel by chance, and we decided to stay another night. About 15 minutes from Hull Ferry to Boston, it is located in a very nice area, just a few yards from the Atlantic. The only cons is the breakfast. Don't expect the best buffet ever. Otherwise, ok.

| This hotel is located on the beach. The room was spacious and fairly clean. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant. It was a Sunday night and not very busy. We had excellent service and the food came out hot and was very tasty.

| I got a great rate through Expedia. Hotel is right on the ocean. Nice pool and hot tub. Room was comfortable and clean, with an ocean view. The continental breakfast was pretty lame compared to similar offerings at other hotels. We had a great dinner in the restaurant.

| We stayed at the Clarion Nantasket Beach in early May 2006 while having work done on our house. Overall, the hotel is conveniently located for fun on Nantasket Beach -- but don't mistake that for convenient to Boston, which on an average weekday morning is about a one-hour drive with traffic. Hotel itself is relatively new, but relatively cheaply built. The night we stayed, it was stormy with very strong winds and wind-driven rain, and the wind moaned through the poorly sealed windows so loudly it kept my wife and daughter awake. The gas fireplace in the room is a nice touch, but the wind was so strong, that it blew down the chimney and made the flame gutter.

| Right on the beach, good parking, fantastic sound of the surf and view from my room of the sea, you need GOOD directions to get there (Massachusetts hides signposts around the corner from junctions, looks like they don't like making it easy to get there). Clean and comfortable room, the family loved the swimming pool and jacuzzi ambiance, small breakfast bar.
