| I booked the hotel because of its cheap price. It was actually beyond my expectation. The room was clean and comfortable. It had a microwave and refrigerator, and provided free bottled water and breakfast. The host was nice. I liked it and would like to stay next time.

| We had 3 couples in our party and none of us liked this hotel. The rooms were very small, there are no elevators so you have to haul luggage up and down stairs, and the continental breakfast came out of machines. Also, the couple that had an interior room were so hot all night that they had trouble sleeping. Our recommendation is to spend a little more money and stay at a more comfortable hotel.

| We stayed two nights, and were quite happy. The room was small, there's a shower (no bath), but everything was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the continental breakfast was great. The owner and his staff were always friendly and helpful. They didn't even seem to mind that we arrived late - very late - at night.

| If you are staying in downtown Anchorage and want a clean, comfortable, friendly place to stay, check out the Anchorage Downtown. It doesn't look like much from the outside; it's sort of shoehorned in between some houses and a parking structure, but don't let that fool you. The location is great; in a quiet area but close enough for walking to downtown attractions. My room was a mini-suite, with two partially separated areas, both with large, comfy beds and plenty of pillows. I believe other rooms are similar. It also had a refrigerator and coffee maker and fairly large television. It's worth the cab fare to stay here and avoid the airport area chain motels.
