Beautiful hotel grounds and pool. This is a nice place to just relax. There is little to do in the hotel area. A car is a must if you plan on going anywhere. Rincon is a few miles down the road. There are a few things in Rincon to see but not much. The hotel has a resturant that will take care of all your meals. A little high priced but good food. Nice quiet beach for walking. The water is very warm but not that clear. We had about 5-10 feet of visability.

This resort combined the benefits of ideal location, nice rooms, good service and good food. The resort is conveniently located on the beach, with easy access from a main road. It is a great place for a lone traveler to relax. The hotel is also a great place for families with children. While I was there, most of the guests were families with small to teenage children. Yet it was very quiet after ten oclock in the evening. The resort is also well located to allow one to explore the entire western region of Puerto Rico. I will stay there again when I feel the need to de-stress.

The hotel is quite lovely and private, simple and traditional--not terribly posh. Pretty courtyard area that was used for a wedding and a business event.Rooms are simple and clean...nice beach and pool, not overly crowded. Hotel food was pricey, but tasty. Nearly everyone speaks some English. Must have a car to get here-located 3 hrs from San Juan. Prepare for the rough roads of PR to get to this resort. We had a wonderful time. Very relaxing!

We were on vacation in puerto rico, part of our stay was at the Rincon resort. We checked in and when we got to our room the view was not as expected, the bathroom had hairs on the floor, the kitchen light was out, tv remote did not work, and the sliding glass door locks did not work.Front desk sent a young man who swept & mopped the bathroom floor, fixed the light, & fixed the remote. They wanted us to wait till the next day before fixing locks, but we insisted on working locks so both doors were switched out. The view we kept because we were to tired to switch rooms. On two different days we had no water pressure or water. We called the front desk and they fixed the water. The staff was always very courteous. The restaurant at the resort we feel was very pricey and not enough variety on the menu. We ate there one day for breakfast and we were very upset due to the fact that the breads, fruits, etc.. had ants and nats. We informed the waitor and he brought us foods from the kitchen, but the food on the buffet was never disposed of & was left there for others. So we ate out all the other times around the resort, Not much to choose from. Beach on side of resort to rough ,swim only in the pool. And last but not least informed housekeeping of ants in kitchen , told time of year brings them out but they never sent anybody up to exterminate. Overall experience not good at all, wish we would have stayed on another island alltogether.

Overall the resort was very nice. Had a 2BR suite, which is a 1BR (king) suite connected to a regular room w/2Q beds. Beds very comfortable. Room very quiet except for noise from nearby condo resort 1 nite and loudspeaker noise from vehicle on roadway 1 morning. Bathroom ceiling was caving in on arrival, but fixed quicky & w/profuse agologies from mgt (who provided bottle of wine & fruit plate). Fan/AC had to run constantly or floor had soaking condensation & was very slippery. Beach clean, plenty of beach chairs. Pool clean & big. Ate once at restaurant- delicious. Plenty of attractions w/in driving distance.

Great hotel. Nelson, the nighttime maintenance man was a great guy who offered good insight to the area. The hotel is right on a great streatch of the ocean and also offers a great pool. Ask in advance if any high school groups will be staying the night. We stayed with about 100 or so kids, whose behavior started good, but apparantly they got too rowdy at night and were asked to leave. The hotel handeled the situation well. One bad thing--we got stuck in the elevator twice, but they workied out the problem quickly. It probably had something to do with the kids. By the way, they can drink legally at 18!!! Rincon is a very relaxed city. Pick the fruit off the ground and eat it, go ahead and eat at the places that look like dives, (they're not), and buy your coffee beans in a local grocery store for $3.00 instead of at the airport for $13.

After spending several days in San Juan, it was a beautiful change. Peaceful full service and can't say enough about the service...it was everywhere. The omly disapppointing thing for us wa sitting pool side and having to listen to the thumping sounds of Rap music. Over all can't wait to go back!
