Features
What to expect: Located at the entrance to the Beaver Creek ski resort, this eight-story villa hotel offers affordable, upscale accommodations, as well as a convenient location for exploring the surrounding Vail Valley. The hotel appeals to vacationers—couples, families, small groups of friends—who want access to the area’s famed slopes, but don’t want to spend all their money on an address.
Amenity highlights: Natural-wood columns and accents, a multi-toned slate floor, leather armchairs and sofas, and an oversized stone fireplace highlight the lobby, an intimate spot for guests. The seventh-floor sundeck, with indoor and outdoor spa tubs, offers mountain views. It’s accessible through the fitness center, which includes a sauna and steam room, along with mountain views from tall, arched windows.
Insider tip: Located five miles west of Avon and Beaver Creek, the former ranching and farming community of Edwards—founded in 1876—is fast becoming the locals’ favorite hangout. This Victorian town features an old-fashioned movie theater and dozens of unique shops, restaurants, bars, galleries, and coffeehouses throughout the Edwards Village Center and Riverwalk at Edwards on the Eagle River.
The hotel does not have its own restaurant, but there are several dining options within the surrounding area. Nearby restaurants: Vistas Bob’s Place China Garden Outback Steakhouse Fiesta Jalisco’s Mirabelle at Beaver Creek Toscanini

| Spent the weekend with my wife and two children at the Sheraton Mountain Vista Resort. We were very happy with the property. My children loved the outdoor spa on the 7th floor sun deck (bubbles are a little aggressive). I was pleasantly surprised. Good choice if you aren't staying on the Beaver Creek property. Avon is convenient and clean.

| After reading several reviews I was concerned that I would no service and be deluged with timeshare offers. Neither was true. We had great service from the staff, we were asked if we wanted to take the timeshare tour and declined (and were never bothered aboit it again) and had a great experience overall. The only negative I read that was true was there are indeed no closets or much good storage for clothes, either hanging or folded.

| This hotel came as advertised. The room was very comfortable and was essentially identical to the "virtual tour" on the web site. The staff was very responsive and helpful: we asked for a DVD player to replace the VCR that was there and they came with it quickly. There are 3 hot tubs, two on the 7th floor roof. Only drawbacks were: the hide-a-bed was, as usual, vey uncomfortable; there were 4 of us and it was a little tight in the normal one bedroom configuration; the roof top hot tub water temp was too cool both nights, despite requests to increase the temp; and there was mild pressure to attend the Time Share talk (which we declined). But all in all, a very good place for the price. Also, it was only about 10 minutes to Vail which is where we skied.

| We were impressed with the overall condition of the hotel - the easy access to transportation was a plus. Away from the crowds but a few good restaurants around. Denny's across the street has a fabulous pre-ski breakfast selection. There is a City Market store on the transporation bus line where you can get things to cook in the hotel's small kitchen. Another plus was some of the activities that the hotel provided at night - cookies, bingo, etc. The pull out couch was a little small for two teenagers - ask for a rollaway if you have bigger kids.

| This place was the best I have ever stayed in. The rooms were spacious and nicely decorated. The floorplan made you feel like you were staying in someone's home. There were two fireplaces for ambiance and function. The jacuzzi in the bedroom was great. The hot tub outside on the seventh floor was spectacular. I would go back just to chill out. I felt pampered.
