We had heard of the Peninsula, and knew we were coming to a very good hotel. When we arrived, our expectations were met, and surpassed, on a daily basis. The room was spacious and had everything, including a daily gift of local fruits to sample with an explanation. The service was exemplary, from each hotel employee we encountered. The Thai restaurant on the water-front was probably the best food we had in Bangkok, and we ate everywhere. Nearby are some of the newer hotels, or more expensive ones, which we visited and returned to the Peninsula with the impression that we were indeed in the best place. It was a rough choice deciding whether to venture out each day and see more of what Bangkok had to offer, or enjoy spending some time in the hotel. We travel extensively, stay in dozens of hotels every year, and this is the best we have experienced in quite some time. We strongly recommend it, and can't wait to stay there again.

Although this hotel is on the other side of the river, the view is still fantastic! The staff is excellent and they will definitely take care of your needs. I definitely recommend this hotel!

Your stay at the Peninsula Hotel in Bangkok will be, without a doubt, one of the finest experiences in the Orient. It has prestine, delicate service, all of the amenities you could ask for and even the simplest rooms are suite quality by the finest hotel standards. The staff will go out of their way to accomodate any need you may have. FOr example, after my stay there, I travelled to Phuket for a week and left my luggage in deposit at the Peninsula while I was gone. I decided to stay in phuket for a longer time and caught a flight to Bangkok for the same day that I was supposed to travel back to the STates. The Peninsula hotel transported my luggage to the airport and waitied for me at the check-in counter for many hours as my plane from phuket was delayed a very long time. I was greeted with utmost courtesy in spite of my very tardy arrival. I whole-heartedly recommend the Peninsula Bangkok as one of the finest hotels in Asia.

On the less travelled side of the river. The boat ride across to the sky train and other hotels is quite nice, but I would rather have a little more of Bangkok's street life, restaurants and shopping within walking distance.

The Peninsula is everything you expect and want it to be. The service is fabulous and the location is perfect. This was equal to the best NYC hotels I've stayed in for a lot less money.

I love this hotel. It has the charm that most large hotels do not. The service is amazing. You can also walk down the street or go across the river to experience the local life, eat street food, and go back to your luxurious room. It's by far my absolute favorite hotel in Bangkok.

Excellent service, amazing attention to detail. Friendly very attentive staff. Even though it is across the river from the Shangri-La Hotel, it has constant boat shuttle service to the BTS station, so not a inconvenient location.

One of the best hotels we ever stayed. The room is exquisite with electric control(buttons) everywhere, one on each side of the bed. We have the most basic suite but still have a partial river view. There is even an outside temperature/humidity gauge, bathtub TV with control on the side, and earphones plugholes there as well as on each side of the bed in case your partner wants to sleep and you want to watch a late show. Service and food are exquisite. Only comment I have is some of the waiters on the riverside cafe is still somewhat inexperienced. Overall this is the place to stay if you are visiting Bangkok. The boat service is every 10 mins to go across the river, free of course.
