| I was extremely impressed with the attention given by the hotel owner and by his staff. My friend and I were made to feel welcome and the people at the Palatine Hotel did everything possible to assist us. I consider this extremely important when visiting a country whose language is not my own. Many thanks to the entire staff.

| I am from San Francisco. This place is in the heart of all of the magic that makes Jerusalem indistinguishable from SF.

| Having had many satisfying stays with Expedia, this hotel experience was quite the aberration. The room was cramped and dark, the furniture sparse, the shower so small that the shower curtain sticks to your back, and the floors a crimson-turned-black that calls to mind a rundown English pub. The breakfast was also sparse by Israeli standards. Jerusalem has many fine hotels. This is not one of them.
