| We loved this hotel; the service was fantastic. Everyone there was so helpful. The shuttle service was a big plus; saves on taxi fares if you are looking to not rent a car and still have access to San Diego's most popular destinations. Pool and hot tub were another plus (poolside room was especially great!). Absolutely no complaints about this place; we would go back in a second!

| The best way to describe this hotel is by saying it's "nice". It's not top of the line, you have to take your own bags to your room, it is very clean but the cleaning crew knock on your door at about 8:30am. The hotel is in a part of San Diego called "Hotel Circle" and it's about 10 minutes away from Sea World, the Zoo and the City. Having been there and seeing the lay out of the area I would probably choose to stay at one of the hotels right on the marina in the city, but for a busy family that will be up and out all day long and maybe on a budget, this is a nice hotel.

| I would never go back to this hotel. It is quite average for the price charged and I was appalled that guests have to pay $10 per night to park.

| The hotel is very old, they charge a fee to park in the parking lot even if you are a hotel guest. The hotel is way over priced for the quality of the premises.

| Room was newly redone. As soon as we entered the room it smelled of new carpet and everything was nice and clean. The bar and restaurant are great. The bartender was very attentive. Food was great. Everyone was friendly and it was an overall good place to stay.I would recommend asking to stay on 2nd floor for the vaulted ceilings.great place to stay for the location and price.

| We checked in to our room which looked nice and had a nice balcony. Within minutes of our arrival our t.v. broke. We called the front desk and they said they would send someone to move us to a new room. We moved to the new room and it was not as nice as the first room. We then got locked out of the room twice throughout the weekend because the keys didn't work properly. The room also had crumbs all over the floor and burn marks in the bedspreads.

| I expected more of the Handlery based on the add I saw on expedia.com. The hotel seemed a little shabby and tired. The facilities were old and tired. I didnt feel that it was very well maintained as far as cleanliness and comfort were concerned.

| Friendly and helpful staff at check-in. Room Service was excellent and our meal was wonderful. The overall appearance of the room was nice and clean. Everything in its place and comfortable. The walls seemed thin since we could hear the person in the next room even at a whisper, but it didn't make our stay unpleasant. Would definitely stay here again if in San Diego anytime soon.
