| I went to Harrodsburg for a wedding, so it was not a place I would have picked off the map, but it's a nice litte town in a beautiful area of Kentucky. The Country Hearth provided a small but serviceable room with all the things I require: Ironing board, powerful AC (important in Kentucky in the summer), comfy bed, coffee maker and cable. A lot of lower cost hotels now offer a lame continental breakfast that consists of tiny boxes of cereal and really old bagels. The Country Hearth has a do-it-yourself waffe maker, which yielded a fine product and microwavable Bob Evans sausage biscuits. Yum. I have a huge weakness for Bob Evans. They also had some healthier cereal options and good coffee. The breakfast is important if you're going to be there on Sunday morning, because I couldn't find any good diners open at that time, so the alternative was a fast food place (Wendy's? DQ? I don't remember. Staff were very nice. The hotel is on the main drag, so you can find it easily and it's convenient for the downtown area.
