| We stayed for one night at this hotel and were disgusted with the room: the carpet had spots on it and was dingy; the wall paper was lifting up at the edges; the mattress had the piping hanging off. The bathroom was clean but in bad shape - the shower was great. We got in late or would have moved. The breakfast was good.

| We go to Vegas on business twice a year. I was tired of the huge casino hotels with tons of walking, crowds, smoke and I wanted to be able to lay by the pool or use the hot tub anytime. So, this time we stayed at the Clarion. It was really just a couple of blocks from the strip. We had a car and used it as it was way too hot to walk. But the Clarion offers on-call limo service to the strip. The hotel was small and had everything we wanted: a nice 24 hour pool and hot tub area, restaurant, very comfortable room. We loved it and had no problems whatsoever. The price was cheaper than the casino hotels for a much nicer stay. There were casinos next door to walk to if you wanted. And nice restaurants across the street. It all depends on what you are looking for, but if you want something quiet and relaxing, I would definitely recommend the Clarion.

| Do not buy the "Strip alternative" theory. This hotel did not at all meet my expectations. The hotel cleanliness was far from what I am used to. While the room itself was pretty clean, the lobby and other areas of the hotel are VERY dated, and they do not try to make things better with cleaning the place (e.g. very dusty, dirty walls, floorboards, etc.). The most important part, to me, was that the room bathroom was clean, but the carpet had MUCH to be desired. Old window coverings were dusty - overall appearance made me want to put on gloves.
