| Smelly room; cheap, dirty, sticky furniture; cheap bed; view from three-by-five-foot "patio" was a vacant lot with weeds and litter. Very disappointing.

| Our room was small and cramped, although clean. The bed was not very comfortable. The pool was lovely, Location was convenient by car. Breakfast was okay but limited and somewhat cramped quarters.

| Nice older hotel. Our room was clean and quiet, there was a door between the two sleeping areas that provided privacy for both my daughter and myself. The continntal breakfast was a nice extra touch. The staff was very polite and helpful.Nice pool area for relaxing at the end of the day.

| I really enjoyed the Clarion in Monterey. It was comfortable, inexpensive, and cute. We accidentally got lost and arrived at midnight to check in, and the guy was really friendly and professional the whole time (Sorry for waking you up). The heated pool and hot tub was also a nice added touch. We reserved our room online, and everything was super quick and easy. In short, it's a great place to stay for the price. I'll definately go back. Also, there is a great nature trail across the street. If you're into walking, it's really worth checking out.

| Stayed here for an anniversary weekend, the space between the door and doorjamb made it imposible to have any "real fun" with the wife. Bathroom had new tile but the walls had only been painted for the 10th time. Pool was dirty and looking up at the vent system that was barely hanging by its last wired made me a little nervous. Won't be back!

| The room was pleasant. Limited parking spaces. Early morning constuction made enjoying sleep impossible, though not a fault to hotel. Will probably not go back.

| The outside of the hotel seems to be kept up fairly well with a nice indoor pool and spa. The rooms feature nice furniture, nice linens and a spa tub in the bathroom with a marble surround. However the nice features are over-shadowed by the dings in the walls, the need for steamcleaning the carpets, and the outdoor noise that travels through the outer walls.

| This hotel was very clean and had nice rooms. The service was excellent. We checked in and out with no problems at all. The pool was fabulous. They also offer a continental breakfast.
