| We stayed at the Astor for 5 night and were extremely satisfied the entire time. The first day we arrived very early due to an early flight, but had no problems checking in early. We actually arrived at about 7:30 AM and check in wasn't until 3PM. The staff was very understanding and helpful and got us to our room right away. The room was very very clean and well kept. The bathroom was beautiful and everything in it looked new. If you've ever stayed in NYC, you expect small rooms. But compared to other hotels I've stayed at in NYC, this was a decent size room. You can't beat not having to share a bathroom either...especially one as clean and neat as ours was. The maid service was very good...our room was cleaned and new towels were brought every morning. The location is a little bit away from all the touristy parts of NYC, but there is a subway stop only 2 blocks away that can get you to Times Square, Empire State Building, and everything downtown in less than 15 minutes. The next time I make a trip to NYC, I will definatley be staying in this hotel. I can't say enough good things about this place!

| Very nice hotel, directly across from Central Park. Perfect location for our needs this trip, which was lodging between the two days of Yankees games we had tickets for. The B train was three blocks away and it took 15 minutes to get to the stadium, even during rush hours. Free parking (a rare find) was available on the street. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable.

| We had room on the street looking at Central Park. Nice view but morning traffic - buses, trucks, subway, etc. - woke us up very early (6a.m.). My partner couldn't go back to sleep, but I usually managed another hour or so. Good clean, small but reasonably priced place to sleep.

| Great location, easy access to subway. Central Park over the road. Can be noisy with traffic. Air conditioner a bit noisy but necessary in August. Rooms small but I don't come to NY to sit in the hotel all day. Very clean, comfy bed and clean bathroom. The staff are wonderful, very helpful and always have a ready smile. Internet access was in basement and paid for by cash or credit card. ATM available as well. Coffee and tea all day long. If you want to watch TV there is little to watch as minimal channels available but not important for me. I'd definitely go back.

| This was our first trip to NYC, and I got what I was hoping for: a nice, clean, simple hotel ON CENTRAL PARK for a good price. Our first night we were in a very small room with no view and a very loud air conditioner -- we got no sleep; the next night, though, they happily upgraded us at our request to a larger room with a view of the park, and a quiet air conditioner. I will recommend Astor on the Park in the future for anyone who wants a convenient, economical hotel at a great location. P.S. Did I say the rooms are small? I recommend these rooms for anyone smaller than SHAQ.

| I had simple expectations for my trip to NYC: a hotel that was clean, safe, and reasonably priced (for New York). The Astor turned out to be just what I wanted. It was so good that I stayed a second time, and I'll try it first if I return. The rooms were definitely small, but they were clean. I was very concerned about bed bugs, since I'd heard New York had real problems with them, but I (thankfully) didn't encounter any. The only problem was that the TV didn't really work (only getting about 3 channels). Central Park is right across the street, and a Metro Station is about 4 blocks away (at 103 St), so getting around shouldn't be a problem. Overall, I'm happy I stayed at the Astor.

| I booked Astor on the Park for as a last resort for a spontaneous business trip. While not horribly convienent, the Central Park West location is nice. The main complaint I have is that the rooms, while clean and comfortable, are tiny. This hotel is fine for a night or two, but any longer and I'd start to feel a bit confined.
