Features
What to expect: The hotel draws its name from the neighboring Sulpician Seminary, one of the oldest buildings in the city, and its personality reflects the graciousness of surrounding Old Montréal. The relaxed charm of this European-style hotel draws visiting film celebrities and business travelers who appreciate the efficient, stylish guest suites. Amenity highlights: Centuries-old exposed stone walls in the lobby and guestrooms are a reminder of the building's history. The intimate street-level bar and restaurant has quickly made a name for itself with visitors and locals alike. The menu particularly emphasizes seafood, regional game dishes, and creative desserts. A business center with computers and printers complements on-site secretarial and translation services (fees charged). Insider tip: The hotel’s courtyard terrace is one of the few places in the city with a view of the private Sulpician Garden, surrounded by thick stone walls. The garden, tended according to medieval monastic principles, has been in continuous cultivation and use since 1686.
S Le Restaurant - Fine dining restaurant serving sophisticated French bistro cuisine. Seating available in the dining room and on an outdoor terrace. Menu emphasizes seafood and wild game dishes. Desserts are a specialty. Adjoining bar is open all day, and has a cozy, modern ambience. Expansive windows look out onto the street, while others reveal the extensive interior wine cellar. Breakfast and lunch are casual, while dinner calls for more formal attire.

| My girlfriend and I just spent Labor Day weekend at this hotel in Montreal and loved it. We are from NYC, 24 y/o, and have travelled quite a bit. The entire staff was extremely helpful. We were able to contact the concierge the week prior to our trip for restaurant recommendations and all were very good. Our flight was late and we had to push back dinner friday night a number of times, and the concierge was helpful and courteous each time we called and took care of it for us. We stayed on the first floor in a basic suite (deluxe i believe), which was both quiet and spacious. It had a nice little terrace, not like we used it, but was still nice to have option. The bedroom was separate from the living room, tvs in both... nice showers with good water pressure. We really had no complaints whatsoever about the hotel. All of Montreal is within walking distance, so don't feel like you have to stay in one particular area. Although, I can understand if you wanted to stay in a more lively neighborhood. We ate most of our meals in Old Montreal by the hotel, but there was little nightlife. Great for families or couples though... we're young (24 y/o), but just wanted a quiet weekend so it was good for us.

| We stayed at Le Saint Sulpice over four nights recently and loved the hotel. They staff is extremely friendly and very accomodating. The room was phenomenal. It was spacious and spotless, and the beds were extremely comfortable. We didn't try the restaurant, but there are plenty around in the neighborhood that are worth checking out. We can't recommend this hotel enough!

| Upon checkin, we were upgraded from a deluxe suite to an executive suite. The room was large, clean and quite comfortable, with a balcony off the living room and bedroom overlooking the garden resturant. The staff and service was quite friendly and thoughtful enough that we didn't have to even ask for anything. Our needs were anticipated. We didn't use any of the hotel ammenties (gym, bar, resturant). Hotel in a great location busy but the room was very quiet. After a few days, it was easy for us to image we lived there.

| The room was a great suite with a comfortable living room and a small but comfortable bedroom. Great soaking tub in the bathroom. Well designed throughout. One caution, the lounge and restaurant are extremely pricey for standard to substandard quality of ingredients -- the frozen tomatoes in the salad were unacceptable. Drinking a martini in the court yard is almost (but not quite) worth the $16 price (not including the 20% tax and tip).

| We would stay here again in a minute. Courteous bilingual staff, quiet atmosphere, has its own courtyard cafe. I could live in the suite for weeks.

| Great location. We had a second floor suite, with a separate sitting room and a small bedroom. All the rooms overlook the hotel's courtyard garden restaurant, so the rooms are quiet (not street side) and light filled, even on a low floor. The upper floor rooms appear to have balconies. My only complaint is that the bed seemed small to us, for a couple, and a bit hard. But altogether a very positive experience.
