Features
What to expect: The resort attracts an international clientele. Although families are welcome and some children's activities are included, the resort is primarily for adults. A partner resort, Riu Negril All Inclusive, at the north end of Bloody Bay, is more family-oriented and includes a children's clubhouse. This resort's guests may use all facilities at the partner resort, which is 1 km (0.75 mi) away by road and 700 meters (766 yds) by beach, and may eat breakfast and lunch there, but the partner resort's guests may not use this resort's facilities and restaurants.
Amenity highlights: The resort is arrayed on 400m (437 yds) of the fine sand running around calm-water Bloody Bay. Two irregularly shaped pools, one with swim-up bar and 35-person jetted section, provide freshwater swimming. The resort supplies nonmotorized water-sports gear, and, for surcharges, a water-sports center offers motorized water sports, scuba-diving instruction/certification, and scuba-diving and snorkeling excursions.
Insider tip: Sunsets at Rick's Café 11.5 km (7.25 mi) south of the resort are a Negril tradition. People dive from 15m (50-ft) cliffs into the Caribbean Sea, and a band plays reggae for dancing.

| The Riu Tropical Bay in Negril is a 3 star establishment. It is one of the cheaper all inclusives in Jamaica. You get what you pay for. Food - Average Drinks - Average Rooms - Average - air doesn't really work but they have fans. Service - Average - most of the staff is not friendly, however, you can find some very nice people BEACH - Awesome! and you can find some private spots. No one bothers you to buys stuff because of the security. It is one of the nicest beaches we have been to and we went to Hawaii, Bahamas, Grand Cayman, Cozumel, etc....

| My Husband and I Traveled to Jamaica, May2,06 - May7,06. It turned out to be a great time to go. It was sunny for the whole stay. The hotel is awesome! All amenities to the hotel is exactly what it says on the website. The room looked very nice but it wasn't up to par as far as cleanliness.

| The hotel itself was nice. The two double beds pushed together to make a king was a little cheap, as were the mattresses.

| Food Not Bad. No problems finding things to eat. Rooms small but clean. Beautiful Beach. Travel agent said no kids, but plenty of kids were around. If you like to use pool dont plan on it unless you want to be in tot land. Also, lots of people put kids in pool with NO DIAPERS!!! Get up early to get a lounge chair also. Beach is beautiful if you can get a chair far enough away from the loud aerobics and dance music they play at noon for "entertainment." Plenty of quiet areas under palm trees. Just walk for awhile to find quiet spots. Only problem cant really walk on beach past resort. 'Couples Resort'(next door) Guard wanted money to walk on their beachfront!!! ..and on other side of RIU...public beach was dirty! Guards keep beach clear of beggars and pot sellers so no one to come up and harrass you like at other places. Pretty peaceful and clean. Aside from a few noisy times. Nice place. We traveled at busy time of year between xmas and New Years. Didnt realize it was family vacation time. Not as bad as spring break but lots of people, place was at capacity. May be a lot better at another time of year. Aside from few noise problems It was clean and food was good. Ate at Japanese restaurant which was excellent. Other 2 were closed most other nights. All in all had good stay.
