The Westin Hotel Atlanta Airport Amenities
This hotel's full-service pledge is good at all hours, backed up with 24-hour transportation to the airport, 24-hour food service, and a 24-hour business center. For the business traveler, the hotel has 23 meeting rooms ranging from 264 square feet, seating 10, to 6,519 square feet, seating 800. The fitness center, complete with sauna and hot tub, also includes dressing rooms.

Valet parking:
$5-15 hourly up to 181 minutes. In/out privileges.
Note: Fee may not include tax and is subject to change without prior notification. Self parking available.

Recreation
Because of its proximity to the airport, recreational opportunities are few in the area immediately surrounding the Westin. But it is only 12 miles to downtown Atlanta, where activities are limitless. Golf courses and a driving range can be easily accessed from the hotel.

Features
What to expect: There is more greenery here than can be expected at an airport hotel, with trees and shrubbery surrounding the outdoor pool and landscaped gardens in front of the entrance. The entrance itself is a magnificent 10-story lobby atrium, a sweeping expanse of marble, glass, and foliage. The Westin was designed to give a resort feel to the business hotel to serve both business and leisure travelers—an "oasis at the airport," they call it. As with many of the Atlanta airport hotels, the weekday business crowd gives way to the weekend leisure crowd.

Amenity highlights: Westin has a three-pronged approach to what it believes guests in the new millennium desire most: good sleep, good shower, and a good workout. That's why all Westins are equipped with the Heavenly Bed, and will soon be equipped with the Heavenly Shower, a chrome dual-head shower with more power, wider water coverage, and multiple spray options. (Heavenly Shower toiletries are already standard in rooms.) Also, fitness centers will all be overhauled to reflect the needs of the health-conscious traveler.

Insider tip: Where else can guests get Little Caesar's pizza and Krispy Kreme doughnuts delivered to their rooms at 3 AM? The Westin combines these business partnerships with its 24-hour room service to make sure guests will never lack for comfort food.

Palio's - Located in the atrium lobby, Palio's is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, serving Continental fare in a bistro-style setting.

Martini's - With palm trees, fountains, and dramatic lighting in the hotel's 10-story atrium lobby, Martini's bar can be a social setting to watch the game, listen to music, or just hang out. Serving standard bar fare, Martini's also has a fine selection of wine, liquor, and cigars.

Starbucks kiosk - For the guest on the go, a quick cup of coffee, a Little Ceasar's pizza, a Krispy Kreme doughnut, or a sandwich is at the ready. The kiosk is also where guests can pick up their "Westin on the Way" order, placed up until 2 AM and ready to go for an early-morning departure.

The hotel was huge and very fancy considering the amount of money the room was. It was clean and the rooms were spectacular. they had an indoor/outdoor pool that was connected. Everyone was very helpful and I would definitely go there again. You'll love it!

I have stayed in many Westin hotels, and this one is apparently not on the same Heavenly program. The sheets were NOT cotton, much less Heavenly - they were scratchy polyester and just wretched! After a long flight from London, I was ready for a comfortable bed. Even my husband, who is not necessarily that picky about his linens - slept on top of the comforter (as did I) - at least IT was cotton. Very disappointing. The sensors in the mini fridge were absurd, and honestly a clear indicator of the typical clientelle at this hotel. I have never seen this trick before in any hotel I have ever stayed in (much less another Westin!)- but then again, the rate for this hotel was much lower than what I typically pay. We just wanted a nice bed and some quiet. There was a large, noisy family reunion going on which seemed to be dominating the entire hotel: kids running from the pool to the lobby, water all over the floor. I liked the Starbucks in the lobby - and the desk staff was helpful. I would never stay here again - ever.

My husband travels & stays at Westin's often. He raves about the "heavenly bed" so I really wanted to stay there. We were unable to get a room downtown so we decided to stay at the one near the airport. Unfortunately the noise was unbelievable. Not the airplanes, but the other guests partying every night in the hallways. We were there for three nights & it left me with the impression that this is normal for this hotel.

Because of the close proximity to the airport and the decent available rates, my wife, son and I have stayed here four times in the past six months. No more. Each visit, the hotel has gone noticeably and progressively downhill. With the large number of competing hotels in the area (including one right across the street), there is much better available. During our last stay (June 23rd), as always, we booked a non-smoking room. Upon check-in, we reverified non-smoking. As soon as you walked into the hallway, we were hit by an over-powering smell of smoke. Went on in the room, hoping it was restricted to the hall. The fact that most of the doors seem to have a two-inch opening between the bottom of the door and the floor killed that. The room reeked. We called the front desk and they "assured" us it was a non-smoking hallway. We asked for someone to come up. Eventually, someone showed up and marvelled that the whole wing reeked...but there was nothing they could do. We asked to be moved to a different room. They said none were available...so we spent the night and all three woke up with headaches from the smell. Also, once we left, our clothing reeked of cigarettes...to the point we actually broke out our suitcases and changed at the airport. Will never, ever stay there again.

The bathroom was very grungy around the tub. The tile and grout appeared to not have been thoroughly cleaned in quite some time.

The room we were assigned had recently been smoked in. We asked for a non-smoking room. The new room we were assigned did not smell much better. The outside grounds were full of litter and garbage. All of the garbage cans were overflowing even the next day. The only way to the pool was through the gym. The gym floor was very wet from the guests going in and out of the pool and I slipped on the floor. Thank goodness my husband caught me and managed to break my fall otherwise the hotel may have had a lawsuit on their hands. I will never stay at this hotel again nor would I ever recommend it to anyone else.

We loved the hotel and the children loved the glass elevator and indoor pool. The service is slow and the maid service did not clean well or refill toiletries. Great food and Starbucks in the hotel. Convenient shuttle.
