    Features
What to expect: The hotel mostly attracts couples seeking tranquility, except for holiday times when the resort fills with families. The main building's fountain courtyard typifies the hacienda style. Additional Mexican ambience is contributed by a broad, dry arroyo crossed by a paved path and planted with agave that leads to the beach.

Amenity highlights: Five pools, including one for children, provide year-around swimming. The main complex adjacent to the beach features a two-level freeform pool with infinity edge and swim-up bar, a toddlers’ pool, and a spa tub. A Beach Club includes a freeform pool with swim-up bar and a spa tub. Two other pools lie next to the hotel's two sections. Adjacent to the main pool complex are sunbathing terraces called the Silence Zone, where only surf can be heard.

Insider tip: Five evenings weekly, the hotel's health spa offers a sunset Tonantzin Holistic Meditation Ritual around a beach fire. Tonantzin is an ancient Aztec goddess and the ritual is held in a circle, led by a shaman.

Casa del Mar is a beautiful hotel. The grounds are lovely and the staff is very good. The furnishings in our room were so so, not to the level of the rest of the hotel. The spa is loud, not a good place to relax. The spa staff seemed indifferent on whether you liked the treament or not. Overall I would give the spa and D. Cabo is very very hot in August. It was too hot about about 7:30 am until about 10:00 pm to be outside. Even the water in the pool was hot. Food at Casa del Mar is expensive. My husband caught enough fish to feed the entire hotel. He brought it back to the kitchen to give them and have them prepare for our dinner. Not only were we charged for our dinner 100%, but we made them money!

This is a great hotel, especially for wedding anniversary getaways! Exquisite grounds, hotel, staff and views. The meals had a continental flair (and price -- which could provide a sticker shock). But if you want a romantic setting with no hassles, this is the place for you.

Casa Del Mar was beautiful and the staff was friendly and efficient. When we checked in the hotel did not have the suite we had reserved available and had to put us in a regular room. They made up the difference by giving us free lunch the day we checked in and a $100 credit to use for meals during our stay. When we had dinner at Las Ventanas next door, our bellman drove us over in a golf cart. The pools were beautiful, especially the one down by the beach. The only downside was I left some clothing in the dresser at the hotel and when I called the day after we checked-out they said no one had seen anything left in the room. Absolutely stay at Casa Del Mar...just remember to check for all of your things before you leave.

My wife and I loved this resort! It was one of the quietest places we have ever stayed. From the moment we arrived and were handed a cool washcloth and a Margarita, we found the staff and the services to be excellent. Everyone we encountered was both professional and friendly. One of the most striking aspects of Casa Del Mar is the grounds: beautiful, lush landscaping, dramatic pools, stone walkways and colorful, hacienda-style architecture. Truly one of the nicer places we have stayed. Their spa services were also very good. The beach is beautiful (though you cannot swim in the surf as it is too rough). While the grounds and service are easily 5-star quality, I would only give the rooms a 4-star. Nothing major, they are just not what most people would consider to be 5-star rooms. But that did not matter to us because the place was absolutely gorgeous, quiet and visually stunning. Sitting on our private deck watching the moon rise each evening was priceless. We found the restaurant to be very good. We also had their dinner on the beach one evening and that too was a great experience. We will be coming to Casa del Mar again for sure!

I chose Casa del Mar based on 2 very different recommendations, one from a honeymoon couple and one from a family. This property has something for everyone. The best features: More than one Adults Only pool, swim up bars at every pool, proximity to the beach, off the main roadway/quiet, wonderful staff, great spa with fun/luxurious emenities, large suites. I wish I could live here. Go. Now. Today.

The grounds of the hotel were phenomenal. My wife and I met many great people poolside. Cabo is where the desert meets the ocean and the Casa del Mar hotel bleded in perfectly with the town's culture. The staff was very friendly and took care of our every need. The complementry "welcome" cocktail was a great way for my wife and I to begin our vacation.
