Features
What to expect: Because it's on flat ground and comprises only 22 acres and 170 guestrooms in low-rise buildings, this resort attracts more middle-age couples than most Sandals resorts. (Couples must be at least 18 years of age.) Coziness prevails from flower-painted beams, to garden botanical signs, to hammocks/hammock chairs, to bright banquettes and overstuffed chairs in an open-air lobby. Amenity highlights: A 1,000-foot beach with thatch shades runs along calm-water Choc Bay and features a view of Martinique. Set adjacent to a boardwalk above the beach, one large freeform pool serves as an activity center and is paired with a 10-person spa tub. A second pool meanders under bridges through an expansive terracotta tile sundeck and is paired with a 12-person spa tub. A third spa tub--lined in pink marble--accommodates 20 and offers a sunset view. Insider tip: As part of Sandals Halcyon Beach's All-Inclusive Plan, guests are entitled to dine and use facilities at Sandals' other St. Lucia resorts, Sandals Grande St. Lucian Spa & Beach Resort (seven miles away) and Sandals Regency St. Lucia Golf Resort & Spa (four miles). Complimentary shuttle service connects the resorts.

| The food was fantastic. Free shuttles to the other two Sandals resorts. This resort is smaller, cozier, and more relaxed than the other two Sandals resorts on the island, yet still had alll of the luxuries.

| We stayed for 8 days and really enjoyed it. The service and the staff were great!! Definitely go here if you want a quiet relaxed honeymoon. It's not the nicest resort b/c it's smaller and a little older than the others, but once you get over that it's great. The other two resorts on the island are bigger and a little nicer with more going on. If you want to go to party stay at Sandals St. Lucia, if you want a really big and nicer resort go to The Sandals Grande. The Halcyon was relaxing and everything at the resort was in close proximity to the rooms, bars, restaurants, you didn't have to walk forever to go the pool or do what you want to do. The staff there were great!!! Definitely pay more for the concierge room we actually got a free sunset cruise while at the concierge cocktail hour, and you get priority reservations at all the restaurants...right when you arrive make reservations at LaToc, Marios & Kimonos...they were all GREAT. We will definitely go to St. Lucia again.

| Perhaps it was the overall condition of St. Lucia, but somewhat disappointed with our overall experience. Sandals Halcyon have the most welcoming staff- you establish a first name basis with most of them and the entertainment staff is outstanding. However, due to the strucutre of St. Lucia itself, the beaches were narrow, and the water was not as crystal clear as you see in other cheaper places to stay in the Carribean. Room: All rooms have window air conditioning that are turned off by the cleaning staff every day, leaving your room quite humid when you return. There are no real differences between the rooms if compare them at the island. The ocean views really aren't that impressive and lack privacy. We stayed in the premium room and were quite satisfied with our privacy and had a lovely garden view and private pool area just a few feet away. Bed conditions weren't great... if you pulled up the sheets you could actually see traces of the springs. Our balcony had a beautiful view, but impossible to enjoy because of the high heat produced by our window air. Overall - the staff are amazing and make you feel welcome. But if you are looking for beautiful beaches and accomadations for the price you are paying to visit the island, I suggest traveling elsewhere. Will we go back? Not likely.
