| The atmosphere was great! The food was great! The entertainment was mostly for the 20's & 30's age range, but I enjoyed the nightly music and dancing, even though I'm in the 40's age range. If you want to relax, there's a beach within a stone's throw from the hotel or enjoy the small beach located at the hotel.

| Loud and noisy, bar atmosphere til all hours of the night, no non-smoking accomodations available even though it was offered on-line as a choice, rooms reeked of cigarette smoke. We stayed only one night and checked out early with our entire family-very rude front desk person and manager. No service oriented experience at all!! Do not recommend this place unless you are 20-30 and want to party 24/7

| Our family had a great experience at Shephard's! The kids loved the pool and beach. We spent a whole evening checking out the hermit crabs on the beach!!!! My husband and I enjoyed the night club and the Tiki Bar!!!! If you want to get away from it all and have great service... Shephard's is the place to go!

| Even though it says beach resort in the title make no mistake about it this is not a family resort...It's a drunken party hotel only. The LOUD music starts at 2:00 in the afternoon and does not stop until after 2:00 am, so you only thought you could go there to relax and rest forget it. The music is so loud that the walls vibrate with the bass until the wee hours of the morning. Once the club closes you are treated to the drunken revelry of the clubs young classless patrons. Definately a spring break hotel only! The back patio is separated from the pool area by a four foot fence so we could not even let the kids swim at night with out being subjected to the drunk and very disorderly behavior at the bars. If your between the ages of 18 and 25 you may enjoy the atmosphere at Shepards but the rest of us will not...No I would not recommend this hotel to any sane person.

| This place is the hang out spoton Clearwater strip. The views are fantastic if you can get a tower room. if sleep is in your plans you will want to stay in the tower for it is quieter than the other rooms. They have live music outside all day and night long, and the wave club is open until 2 AM. This is one stop shopping if you want to party, but because of the number of people who visit the location to hang out, it does get very loud. This is not the spot to go if you are looking for a romantic get away or secluded beaches. This is not a family friendly place. But if you want to party, this is the place to be. They also have jet ski's on site to rent and local shopping is within walking distance. parking is not a problem if you are a guest. the rooms themselves are big with all the appliances you would need but the beds are rock hard and the tower only has two twins unless you get a suite.
