    Summit at Big Sky Amenities
This slopeside hotel opened in Big Sky’s Mountain Village in March of 2000. Its chateau-style construction adds a European element to the resort’s traditional Western ambience. Amenities include a restaurant, bar, and an indoor/outdoor soaking pool, which is a partially-enclosed, 120-person-capacity spa pool with bench seating around the sides and a center island.

Guests also have access to the recreational facilities and European-style spa at Huntley Lodge, just across the village plaza. The Yellowstone Conference Center, also affiliated with the hotel, offers 46,000 square feet of meeting and function space for up to 1,000 people.

    Recreation
The hotel has an indoor/outdoor soaking pool, and fitness center. Guests also have access to two seasonal tennis courts and other recreational facilities at Huntley Lodge, just across the village plaza. In the winter, Big Sky’s ski slopes begin right outside the hotel and offer more than 150 named runs on 3,600 acres. When the snow melts, the trails offer excellent hiking and mountain biking.

A wealth of other outdoor activities are available throughout the Big Sky and Yellowstone area, including horseback riding, whitewater rafting, and superlative trout-fishing on the Gallatin River. Golfers will appreciate the Big Sky Golf Course, eight miles from the hotel, which is noted for classic links-style play and the long drives that come with higher altitude (6,500 feet) and thinner air.

The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or near the hotel; fees may apply.

    Features
Peaks Restaurant - This restaurant serves New Western cuisine, which features innovative approaches to classic dishes of steak, game, and seafood. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Carabiner Lounge - This après-ski spot overlooks the slopes and offers drinks and lighter bites.

This hotel is ski in/ski out and the lifts are definitely at your doorstep. The service staff weren't too friendly and the overall room decor and hotel architecture were a little weak for a 4-star. Considering Big Sky's limited offerings, I would definitely stay here again but I've seen better 4-star hotels. The restaurant and bar are decent. The fitness center and indoor/outdoor jacuzzi are clean and serviceable.

This hotel is right at the base of the mountain; easy access to 2 lifts & gondola. Our room was big, service was great, and it was a savings to be able to eat breakfast & lunch in our room.

Our room was more luxurious than we ever expected. There was plenty of room for the five of us and more. We loved it!
