| okay hotel for location; undergoing extensive updating and really needs it (not worthy of the 3-1/2 stars it presently has); will be much nicer in another year or so

| First, I don't know how the hotel ever got 3.5 stars from Expedia. I can't imagine it ever rated that high a rating. But it is undergoing major constuction at the moment (early May 2006) which looks like it's going to last at least several more months. Noisy, dirty, with restricted access to amenities. My room had already been refurbished, and it still had issues, including the main door which didn't close all the way and a large hole above the shower where a fan/vent was supposed to be. No wonder it was cheap. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Avoid until the construction is done, and maybe even then.

| I arrived at this hotel to find that it was under major renovation. There was no kitchen, one of the elevators didn't work, the staff was not friendly. In addition, the towels in the room looked gray and old, the ice machine didn't work and my wake up call was at least 15 minutes late, and the parking was overly expensive and not mentioned in the hotel description and pricing. The room itself was very nice. A comfortable bed with a down blanket and a separate sitting area. I think that once this hotel is up and running it will be very nice, but for now it is a very big disappointment.

| This hotel was being remodeled and therefore some inconvenience is to be expected. However, the hotel was filthy and there is no excuse. The parking lot, the walkways, the lobby, the hallways, the rooms....everything! I didn't want to even walk in my room without shoes because the carpet appeared so dirty.

| I was very impressed; would definately stay there again. Spacious rooms and quiet (a big plus for me). The only thing I didn't like was having to pay $10.00 to park overnight in their garage.

| The hotel was clean and very nice looking but restaurant and pool hours were not covenient at all. Both were only open limited hours of the day. Grocery store across the street helps but there weren't a lot of sights within walking distance. The shuttle is supposed to run every thirty minutes but most of the time we waited 45-50 minutes for a shuttle. This is very frustrating if you are on a schedule. Employees were friendly and helpful. We could hear the highway from our room ten stories high so the windows are not very well insulated. I wouldn't recommend it for a first timer in DC but if you are not on a schedule, and don't mind waiting for the shuttle and having limited pool hours then, it's a good pick.

| When we visited this hotel was undergoing renovations, so on the outside it looked as if it was closed for business. Once we got inside it was very nice. Renovations will end April 30th, so we plan to stay there again on our next trip to the area.
