| The Ritz Carlton Montreal was a very nice, classic hotel. The service was superb and we enjoyed the access to the exclusive atheletic facility a few blocks from the hotel. We would book our vacation at the Ritz Carlton Montreal again.

| The Ritz-Carlton is a lovely hotel, with all the character of a nearly 100-year-old building. All the amenities we desired were included in our room. The service was impeccable.

| Courteous, friendly and efficient service from hotel entrance to room door. Room was spacious and clean. Bar atmosphere was ritzy. Disappointed with the gym. Rather limited and out of date equipment. I only stayed one night. It poured in Montreal and those blue Ritz umbrellas are great. A Ritz is a Ritz. I would certainly go back.

| This hotel is tired and needs to be updated. Seems old and tired. Cannot compete in the elite hotel category against competition and doesn't live up to the Ritz Carlton standard of other Ritz hotels.

| I just returned from a week long stay at the Ritz Carlton in Montreal and I have to say that I was disappointed with the hotel. The hotel seems like it has been forgotten by the Ritz corporation, as the hotel is in major need of renovation. The rooms are small and the carpet is faded and torn, and the beds/pillows are uncomfortable. The major problem we experienced with the room is the fact that the walls are extremely thin. We could hear every move our neighbors made from opening the closet, asking for a wake up call, conversing, watching TV, etc., and I'm sure that they heard us doing the same! If you are anything other than a deep sleeper this hotel is definitely not for you! The front desk & bell staff are OK - neither rude nor friendly - they can be described as indifferent at best. The only great thing about the hotel is its location - a few blocks from the metro, restaurants, Rue Ste. Catharine's shopping and the museum of art. Also, the room service is quick and efficient, and the room service staff are actually friendly. Overall the self proclaimed 'Grande Dame' of Montreal's hotels is fading away. The hotel is not worth the money and you can find better hotels in the area for the same price or less.

| We just returned from a week at the Ritz Carlton Montreal and we loved our stay. The hotel is beautiful and the staff is exceptional. The location is perfect-easy walk to great resturants and shops, a view of Mont Royal and only 2 blocks to the Metro. The health club is outstanding. We will definately stay here again on our next visit

| This hotel is a lovely historic hotel in a good location. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. I wish there were more restaurants, more television and room service choices. The bathrooms need a make over as well. It is sad, almost like the hotel is fading away.

| Beautiful hotel in the heart of Montreal. The service was everything you'd expect from a Ritz, though unfortunately the restaurant was closed during our stay. Don't expect the latest and greatest at this hotel. The Ritz Carleton Montreal is a throw-back. It's very old, though impeccably maintained, and you can't beat the location. It's just steps away from the fabulous shops, bars and restaurants on Crescent St. Great hotel in a great city.

| This hotel is well-located on an elegant street in downtown Montreal and is conveniently located about two blocks from a metro station, but it didn't feel like a Ritz-Carlton. The lobby is a bit small and not particularly impressive. Our room (a standard room) was traditionally-decorated and perfectly fine, but not anything special. The small room had an even smaller bathroom that could do with an update. We enjoyed drinks at the elegant lobby bar and the service was excellent. The hotel exercise room is small, but they give you free passes to a terrific gym just a few blocks away.
