| The check in staff was helpful and friendly. It looked a little run down on the outside and I was afraid we had made a bad choice. I was very wrong-thankfully!!! The rooms were plush and very cute. A little small but had plenty of storage so, even with 3 teenagers (on a dance competition trip,I had room to put everything away. There was no air conditioning in the rooms, which usually is not a problem in Lake Tahoe but the first day we were there, it was 100 degrees and the room was 95. They had a good ceiling fan and an extra fan in the room. It cooled down to 85 the rest of the week and, with the fans it was ok. The gas barbeques are not for the guests, just the junky ones that wouldn't stay lit, so we finally had fried hamburgers from an electric frying pan. No stoves or oven (just micro, fridge) but they had electric frying pans for no charge. Laundry was no charge, too-very nice with 3 teens.

| The hotel was fully booked which made parking was very difficult. Lack of air-conditioner in the room. The service was fair, though need to be more hospitable in welcoming out-of-town guests.

| NO Air Conditioning. Had a back ache because the bed was so hard. Many of the coupons and samples in the guest packet were expired. Staff was friendly, but not aware of problems.

| Hotels in Tahoe run the gamut from very pricey to almost fleabag. This one's a vacation ownership club that's somewhere in the middle. Not right on the "strip" or gondola but close enough (Pioneer Trail). It's on the bus route for the ski resort buses and also for the Tahoe Go Bus. Staff was friendly. We were plowed with snow while there but the staff was right out there with their snowblower clearing the parking lot. All in all a positive experience.

| This place was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The room was a little outdated but otherwise it was very clean and comfortable. The tulips and other spring flowers were beautiful. The staff were great and all really helpful.

| My fiance and I spent three nights at the Americana and were extremely impressed with the friendliness of the hotel employees. The room was comfortable and the front desk staff gave 150% service. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Tahoe area.

| Centrally located and quite comfortable. the staff is nice and the rooms are very clean and pretty. Beware that the so called studio is in reality a large room divided in two with a large queen bed and a couch whihc may become another bed but then you basically do not move anymore. However for two adults and two small kids is acceptable provided you spend most of your time outdoor! Perfect for a couple looking for a cozy environment aftre one day in the cold. The litle kitchenette has microwave, coffeamker a toaster and a small basin, no hot plate, so do not bring your favorite soup unless you can warm it in the microwave. The bathroom has one shower, no bathtub, and the water pressure is not that great, but once again is better so one does not waste too much water. Also rememeber that when the room is occupied it is cleaned only twice per week, so plan to be as neat as possible!! In the morning great selection of free donuts at the reception and for wet sky stuff the laundry and the drier are free (but you may wait a little in line..) the pool is clean and hot enough that we were there under a pretty heavy snow w/out any problem (save to get back to the room afterward) In all the place is nice and if you are looking for a clean, charming no-troubles place this is one you might want to consider.

| Moderate but comfortable studio. Very clean. The curtain separates two leaving areas: queen bed and queen sofa bed. Small kitchen with sink, microwave and refrigerator. Dishes and silverware. Wish they clean the room every day
