What to expect: This family owned-and-operated resort appeals to budget-minded guests desiring a tranquil hotel for sunbathing, but near enough to Montego Bay for exploring.

Twice daily, complimentary shuttles transport guests to Montego Bay's famed Doctor's Cave Beach (2.8 km/1.75 miles away) and Aqua Salt beach and water sports park (4 km/2.5 miles), both located on Montego Bay's Hip Strip of shops, restaurants, and nightclubs. (Both beaches charge for admission.)
Insider tip: During harvest season, the resort's mango trees produce ripe fruit for guests and for use in the restaurant and bar.
Restaurant - Small, open-air restaurant with plastic furniture, jungle-pattern linens. A la carte breakfast, lunch, dinner daily. Dinner choices include pepper pot soup, fish chowder, lobster cocktail, snapper in lemon-butter sauce, pasta, pineapple chicken, jerk chicken, fish, pork, and shrimp. Bar - Open-air spot under conical wood roof. Also, arbor-garden seating on masonry benches. Open daily from mid-morning to late night for tropical drinks.

| When pulling into the hotel driveway, I was a little leary. After walking around the grounds and meeting the staff. I would say, I really enjoyed myself. As the name of the hotel says, you will definetely relax at this hotel. It is peaceful, quiet and the staff is most accommodating. I will return.

| Okay rooms, noisy air conditioning unit, airport too close and too noisy, too far away from downtown. BUT - the food was excellent if you're not in a hurry - well worth the wait. The grounds are beautiful - very lush, lots of flowers. Also lots of steps for those who are elderly or disabled.

| Relax Resort is a place wher you can truly relax. Located 5 minutes (by car) from the hip strip it's close enough to enjoy the excitement of the tourist attractions as well as far away enough to enjoy the peacefulness of the island. Suprisingly, even though it is across from the airport, you are rarely bothered by the sounds of planes taking off and landing. The employees are polite, helpful, easy-going people. Management will do what ever they can to make your stay comfortable. The rooms are spacious and have a great view looking out to the ocean. I would definitely go back and stay at this resort, especially for such a great price.
