The staff was very friendly and helpful! The room and bathroom was nice and clean! (Plenty of hot water) The lock on the bathroom door didn't work but such a great value for the money! I'd recommend this hotel to anyone!

There was garbage on the grounds by our suite's private deck when we arrived and it was still there when we left. The item that lured us to this hotel was the 2 person spa in the suite but it was an ordinary bathtub. I questioned the front desk clerk and she said that it was a two person jacuzzi and had warm water. It had warm water alright, but that was no jacuzzi. I had a jacuzzi installed in my last home. I know one when I see one. That tub had no jets... nothing but a drain and a faucet.

This hotel was fantastic. It was so close to the casinos and to the lake. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that I know that it going to be traveling to South Lake Tahoe.

Three Peaks is well maintained, has a nicepool/spa area and you can walk to the beach or the casino area easily. Our room had two double beds which were comfortable, sliding doors opened to a small balcony with a grass area below. Ceiling fan did an adequate job of cooling but temp outside was not too hot. Breakfast offering was pre-packaged danish - yuck! We went to the Red Hut which was delish! Bathroom was very small with sink area seperate from toilet/shower but worked fine. Good basic value!

I recently stayed here for two nights. Overall, I would come here again. The plusses: Very short walk to beaches. Very short walk to casinos. Nice pool. Huge jacuzzi. Also, we got a one bedroom deluxe suite, and it was very spacious. My biggest complaint, however, is the tone set in the hotel by the management/owners posting of draconian warnings everywhere you look. When you first get there, they tell you they are taking a $250 deposit on your credit card for damage you may cause. There is a sign telling you of the charge if you smoke in your room. A sign warning you of the charge if you don't register your pet. A sign by the bagels telling you not to take more than you can eat. A sign in the flower bed graphically showing that you should not allow your pets to do their business in the flower bed. A sign in your room telling you you may be charged for a 1/2 day if you check out between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm (checkout is 11:00 am and they mean it). A sign warning you of the charge if you leave a dirty dish in your sink. Overall, it seems as though the owner must have been burned at one time by some bad guests and thus they're very cautious. However, that's their problem, not yours, and there is a fine line between cautious and overkill. All of these signs leave you with the impression (perhaps untrue, but present nonetheless) that every slight misstep on your part will cost you money. A bad tone for an otherwise nice place to say.

Room was very hot in May. We had to keep the balcony door and kitchen window open all night. We needed air conditioning. The ceiling fan did not work and staff didn't seem too interested in coming up -- they never showed up. Going up the stairs with luggage was not easy for older folks.

A good value hotel, especially midweek. Motel rooms are comfortable and ideal if you just need somewhere to rest your weary heads after enjoying Tahoe. Stand alone fan was available in room which helped abate the heat of summer as there is no a/c. Staff were helpful and courteous. Don't rely on the 'free continental breakfast' pastries were normally gone before 0900 and the choice was very limited. Plenty of options close by for breakfast though.

This hotel was pretty bad choice for us. No air conditioning (the room was so hot, and we had to open the window all through the night), no refrigerator, uncomfortable bed, broken alarm clock, just coffee-and-muffin breakfast. Above all, our room was so noisy at night (due to the road traffic just in front of our room) that we couldn't sleep till 2am. If I visit Lake Tahoe area again, I wouldn't surely stay in this hotel again! The swimming pool was OK, though.

this resort was great. it was clean and quiet very relaxing. my only complait was that it did not have air conditioning but then it was not that hot. also the sofa sleeper was not that cmfortable and recomend that the provide air mattresses for the top of the pull outs. other than that I would gladly stay there again.
