| The hotel is situated between a very busy highway, and a major rail line. There was allways a certain amount of noise from the highway as expected. The railroad seemed to be at it's loudest between 2AM, and 6AM. This did not make for a good nights sleep. The best part of my stay was a good breakfast.

| The hotel seems very new and in great shape. The front desk crew were outstanding. The only thing I didn't like about the hotel was that the pool was outback and close to the railroad tracks. There seems to be a busy railroad schedule in the late afternoons when I was there for a few days. The sound and the smell wasn't the most pleasant during my pool time.

| Train runs almost 24 hours a day, seven days a week behind the hotel. Forget about sleeping. Hotel is a 25 dollar cab ride from downtown Austin. Coming in to Austin for business, it was very hard to function with a train waking you up with it's airhorn every hour on the hour. Stay away from this hotel.

| When we booked this hotel, we read all of the reviews ahead of time and were satisfied that we had found a decent place to stay. Imagine our surprise when we got to our room and saw that out our window, not 40 yards away, were railroad tracks and a train that came by every hour. It was a nice hotel, but the train became very annoying. So, when booking, request a room in the front of the hotel, not the back. We didn't ask to move because we were only staying there one night, but any longer than that, we would have requested another room.
