Features
What to expect: An expansive Art Deco lobby flows into Asian-influenced rock gardens and bamboo plantings that mark the entrance to the hotel's restaurant and lounge. This smoke-free, dog-friendly property opened in May 2002 and neighbors a marina, river estuary, and corporate park. Its close proximity to Sonoma wineries and downtown Petaluma attracts wine-tasters and antique shoppers, along with a weekday business clientele. Amenity highlights: The hotel fitness center includes two treadmills, a stationary bike, Stairmaster, weight machines, and saunas. An outdoor pool and spa tub face the Petaluma River. Insider tip: Bodega Bay, just 25 miles west of the hotel, is a quiet coastal town with a scenic 18-hole golf course, beaches, and a handful of casual restaurants and shops. Fog often enshrouds this sleepy town, adding emphasis to its claim-to-fame as the setting for Hitchcock’s famous film, The Birds.
Jellyfish Grille - Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served in this casual, sophisticated dining area with views to the outside pool and marina waterfront. Asian décor with faux sea-grass placemats, rock gardens, and fountains. Asian-fusion inspired menu. Jellyfish Lounge - Serving afternoons and evenings. Open to the Jellyfish Grille and separated from the lobby by a large bamboo-and-rock garden.

| We were very pleased with the Sheraton in Petaluma. If you are wanting to be in the heart of Wine Country you may want to look into one of the B&B's throughout the region. However, if you are looking forward to a little driving through wine country I highly suggest staying here.

| Nice location, comfortable room, friendly staff. Even the room service food was great. The "marina view" is a little overstated, but that's OK. We still enjoyed our stay and I highly recommend this hotel.

| Quite possibly the best part of the vacation. Great benefits, including gym on site, hot tub, sauna, and swimming pool. Be aware, those that will use the gym, that the cardio equipment ( two treadmills, one elliptical, and one stationary bike ) do not have heart rate monitors ( with the exception of the bike ). Located with easy access to both local attractions and highway access for ease of travel. Great hotel in great location to lend to overall vacation experience. Can't wait to go back again.

| The hotel was very nice and clean. Yes, the A/C was louder than usual, but it wasn't a big deal. We had a room next to the pool, but never heard any noise. We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant - the food was great, however, the service was poor and slow. The fitness center was quite good for a hotel. The city of Petaluma felt like the 'sticks' - not much going on there. We'd recommend this hotel.

| Very nice hotel. It is a convenient location for wine country and for getting back to San Francisco. It was nicely decorated. Road noise from Highway 101 was the only disappointment and we notice it more than most because we slept with open windows.

| Yeah, the Sheraton raves about their "Sweet Sleeper" bed, and in fact, when staying at the Meadowlands in New Jersey, we were so impressed with the Sheraton and the Sweet Sleeper bed that we decided to stay at a Sheraton when we visited California. Well, the bed was okay but the sheets were terrible. Within 5 minutes of climbing into bed, we were enveloped in loose sheets. The sheets didn't even reach over the top or bottom of the bed. Nothing like trying to sleep on wadded up and wrinkled sheets to spoil the night. In the morning, even the mattress pad was loose and wrinkled up under us! Obviously, some Sheratons know how to treat their guests and some Sheratons like to "short-sheet" their guests. Be wary!
