| We chose this hotel because it was an easy walk from Penn Station and central to many things we wanted to do in New York. Our room, with two double beds and a fold out couch, was spacious enough for two adults (my sister and I) and two teenagers. The staff was most kind and helpful. A plus was that it is on the edge of Korea town, so we had the opportunity to meet and talk with many international visitors and try good Korean food.

| We really enjoyed the location of the hotel. Very convenient to public transportation and areas of interest (shopping too). Room and bath were larger than most and had a nice view. Staff was very plesant and made suggestions we found helpful. Room was a little warm and air conditioning was not going yet (springtime), so they brought us a fan which was fine. Window locks were broken and fire escape had access. Cable channels were good, and couch, chair and table were nice to have in addition to two double beds. Overall I would stay again.

| We stayed at the Stanford during the Blizzard of 06. On the upside, we got a good rate, there is a subway 10 steps from the hotel door, the coffee shop next door makes a top coffee, you are in the midst of great shopping and the free breakfast is a nice touch. While all of those things are fantastic, it still doesn't make up for having a room without heating - during the biggest blizzard on record in New York. We asked, and asked and asked to have it fixed, but it was colder with each passing day. My husband kicked up a fuss, but the hotel would not budge. Frankly, there is a limit to the amount of time you can spend trying to get something fixed. We suffered through 5 of the coldest nights of my life and both ended up catching colds - before our wedding! Thanks Hotel Stanford!

| I chose this hotel over others based on the reviews. I'm glad I did. The doorman was wonderful, and right away removed our bags from the taxi and took them to the front desk. We checked-in 2 hours early without any problems. The staff is extremely friendly and curteous. The rooms are quite large and comfortable. It is nice to have a sitting area with a couch and chair. The bathroom is very large! At the end of our stay, the doorman stored our bags for most of the day, got us a taxi to the airport, and loaded our bags into the taxi for us. The location is superb. I normally stay on the upper west side, but am convinced this is where I will stay from now on. Stay here. You won't be sorry!

| Very excellent front desk service, big room (the "suite" is only a big room, but it easily accommodated our family of four). Just a few steps from the 34th and B'way subway station; 1 block from Macy's. One small elevator was a little inconvenient.

| Nice, small hotel at great location (32nd and Broadway). Block has lots of restaurants, so it's always busy. Large hotel room, esp. for Manhattan, with large bathroom. Well appointed with nice furniture. seems to be in the process of an upgrade. Single elevator very slow, especially during high use in mornings. Staff was very friendly and accomodating.
