This was the worst experience. There were no screens on the windows, the shower didn't work and the staff was rude. We will never stay here again and urge others to do the same. It was overpriced for what you got. We hated it!!! What a bad experience. It stunk! Literally !! WE call it the "Roach Hotel" Yuck!! Yuck!! Yuck!! You totally didn't feel safe!

This is by far the worse hotel I have ever stayed in. It was dirty, uncomfortable, hot and gross. The only benefit was that we could easily walk to the Boardwalk. But for the cost (way over priced), I would chose another budget hotel that has decent standards.

If you want to be close to the Boardwalk and the beach this is among the best of the options. It was a typical motel style room which I had expected so no great surprise or disappointment upon arrival. The bowling alley next door has a few good pinball machines.

It's very close to the Boardwalk, so that's a plus. The room was clean, but it was obvious the hotel was old and had been patched up a lot. Barely large enough for the bed, no hangers in the small closet, small area outside the bathroom for makeup and stuff. Front desk people polite and helpful. Sufficient parking. No A/C or fan in room, so it was hard to get it cooled down at night. If I go back to Santa Cruz, I'll probably try another place.

Lights were broken; keycards didn't work; room were not cleaned in between guests (found beer bottles under the bed); TV had no remote. Overall a bad stay. Would not recommed this hotel for others. Book your UCSC graduation rooms early and avoid yourself our fate.

Quality of service, cleanliness, and comfort were all satisfactory. My comments are related to the condition of the Inn. I spent two nights and both mornings the toilet plugged up. On the first morning once I told the proprietor the toilet was unplugged immediately. The second morning I simply went downtown and used the public restroom. The Inn is very close to the beach restrooms. The shower did not work properly and I had to improvise when showering.

We stayed in the 1st room over the check-in area. The light for the pool are on the second floor overhange and they show into the room very brightly at night. The "blackout curtains" did not do much to alleviate that problem. Also the king size bed we slept in was higher on one side than on the other, it felt like you were fighting a hill all night. They have remodeled the room we stayed in (i.e. new furnature, new carpet, new tile, re-textured the walls, etc.) with the exception of the sink area which is still stuck in the 70's era.
