| This was a nice hotel. However, I wasn't very impressed by the staff. I got a rather cold response on arrival and I felt in general that they weren't extremely eager to help. However, my room was quite nice and had all the amenities I could need...though the internet was on the expensive side...far more expensive than an internet bar. Otherwise, the hotel was clean and pleasant though not exactly warm and friendly. It is a convenient location and I would recommend it, but I think it's probably not the best value for what you get...especially for China.

| I really have a very pleasant experience in this hotel. Very well located just two blocks from Lijiazhuang subway station (I'm not sure if I wrote it well!) two blocks from Super Brand Mall (Nice place to eat and shop. It has an amazing rounded pool on the 9th floor with an great view of the bund. A comfortable health center and good service from the staff. The only bads are the expensive restaurants (comparing with the prices you can get outside), expensive business center (I paid almost 8 dollars for some prints)and expensive Internet service.

| This hotel has an excellent location and is first rate. The rooms are clean and large. I stayed in a river view room and would recommend it for the extra money. Language is always a barrier in China but this staff does a great job.

| Have stayed in over 10 hotels in Shanghai, and I was pleasently surprise by a hotel that I have avoided for years for fear of tourists that decent on the area. However I found the Oriental a joy and a pleasure. I look forward to visiting again.

| This is a great place to stay. It is right on the river and directly across from the entrance to the Bund sightseeing tunnel.

| The Hotel staff didn't understand English very well, but we were able to communicate. Close to the Metro subway, close to plenty of resturants and local attractions...the resturant at the hotel itself was pricely. Bowling was inexpensive. The view of the Bund and the skyline was great. We would definately stay there again!

| Great hotel to stay and nearby Shanghai Tallest TV tower. I would not call it a 5 star hotel, mold were found around the shower stall. Expensive Breakfast. Fantastic evening harbor view overlooking Pudong River.
